Capítulo 313: Help

Gamora was panting heavily, her eyes locked onto Zane.

Once the surge of emotions in her heart subsided slightly, clarity returned to her gaze.

"What do you want?" Gamora asked coldly.

"It's simple, I want you to take me to the location of the Soul Stone."

"I won't..."

Gamora's heart trembled upon hearing Zane's words.

But outwardly, she remained composed, not showing the slightest hint of her true thoughts.

Instead, a trace of confusion flickered in her eyes, as if she had no idea what Zane was talking about.

Just as she was about to retort, Zane interrupted her.

"You don't need to argue. I know the map to the Soul Stone is in your mind."

"I have 24 hours to bring someone back to life."

"If you don't take me to find the Soul Stone in that time, your dear Quill will be gone for good."

"Think it over carefully, Gamora," Zane said, looking into her eyes.

Hearing Zane's words, all of Gamora's reasons and prepared arguments crumbled. She opened her mouth but couldn't utter a word.

She quietly lowered her head, her eyes filled with deep internal struggle, hidden from view.

After a long pause, Gamora lifted her head.

She glanced at Star-Lord's lifeless body, his head slumped to the side. A flicker of resolve passed through her eyes as she turned to Zane.

"Can I ask, what are you planning to do by collecting all the Infinity Stones?" Gamora asked expressionlessly.

As far as she knew, Zane had already possessed the Power Stone five years ago. Now he was seeking the Soul Stone—clearly aiming to gather all six Infinity Stones.

But upon hearing her question, the sunny smile on Zane's face vanished instantly. He shot Gamora a chilling look.

"Don't ask what you shouldn't. You have only two choices now."

"One, take me to the Soul Stone, and I'll bring Peter Quill back to life, and you two can continue your adventures together."

"Two, stay here quietly and watch his body grow cold."

"Choose!" Zane said coldly.

If Zane wasn't concerned that using the power of Death to scour Gamora's soul might damage her memories, he wouldn't have bothered with this much talk.

The next moment, Gamora let out a bitter laugh, turned to Star-Lord's lifeless body, and said helplessly:

"Do I really have a choice…"

"Good, we'll leave now."

With a thought, Zane released the chains binding Gamora.

As she fell to the ground, Gamora didn't resist or act out.

Obediently, she walked to the star chart's projection and input a series of coordinates.

However, at that moment, Zane suddenly sensed that one of his communicators had shattered.

So far, Zane had only given out two communicators infused with Space Stone energy: one to Asgard, and one to the Dwarves.

Previously, during his duel with Odin, Zane had declared he would protect Asgard for ten years. He couldn't imagine anyone foolish enough to cross him now, so it was unlikely Asgard was in trouble.

That left only one answer!

The Dwarves were now facing a crisis of extinction!

Half an hour earlier, after two days and nights of nonstop forging and design, the Dwarf King Eitri had finally created what Thanos desired.

It was none other than the Infinity Gauntlet, just like the one in the original story.

Eitri, with his unkempt beard and waxy complexion, radiated exhaustion. His hands trembled with anxiety as he carried the gauntlet and approached Thanos slowly.

"Honorable Titan, here is the equipment you requested. Please see if it meets your satisfaction."

"If there's anything you're not pleased with, I can modify it for you," Eitri said respectfully, his head bowed.

Thanos, without a word, took the Infinity Gauntlet from his hands. He placed it on his left hand, his right gently brushing over the six empty grooves.

"Are you certain this gauntlet can handle the combined power of all the Infinity Stones?" Thanos asked calmly, his eyes fixed on the gauntlet.

Eitri hesitated for a moment, then nodded.

"This gauntlet can easily handle the energy of a single Infinity Stone," he explained.

"But if you use all six Stones together, the immense energy might burn through the gauntlet's internal structure."

"In other words, once you gather all the Infinity Stones, you can only use their combined power once."

"Attempting a second time would completely destroy the gauntlet."

As Eitri spoke, he carefully observed Thanos' expression, fearful that any dissatisfaction might lead to something terrible for the dwarves.

In truth, this gauntlet was the best he could do under the circumstances. Time had been too short, and the materials used came from the dwarves' limited reserves—nothing particularly rare. Getting the gauntlet completed had already involved a stroke of luck.

But to his surprise, Thanos didn't get angry. Instead, a satisfied smile appeared on his face.

"Once is enough!"

"The famed dwarves of the cosmos have lived up to their reputation. I am very pleased with this creation," Thanos said, smiling at Eitri.

Seeing Thanos' approval, Eitri's face brightened with relief and joy. He hurriedly bowed to Thanos.

"As long as you're satisfied."

"Now, may I ask if you could release my people?"

"It's been two days and nights. The adults can endure, but the children haven't eaten in so long, and they won't survive much longer," Eitri said anxiously, lifting his head.

Thanos didn't respond immediately. Instead, he turned his gaze to the stellar forge at the center of the star ring, lost in thought.

After a long pause, as Eitri grew more and more anxious, Thanos finally let out a deep sigh.

"You should know my philosophy by now…"

A heavy sense of dread filled Eitri's heart. Of course, he had heard of the Mad Titan's deeds, where he would kill half of every civilization he encountered.

But Thanos paid no attention to Eitri's rising panic and continued:

"This universe, since its birth, has existed for trillions of years. Life has multiplied unchecked, pushing the universe to its breaking point."

"Resources are depleted, environments destroyed, and countless powerful civilizations have collapsed due to overpopulation."
