Capítulo 19: Complain chapter: For all your complaining needs.
This chapter is for me to gather some feedback from my readers about the story progression. The next chap will come tomorrow. (Its a smut one)
I have received some comments pointing out some flaws in my writing and thought about what the overall reader base thinks. If you agree to it then just put a comment on the heading and if possible give me an example. I will also try to address some of the complaints and if you disagree add it to the body instead. Thanx And here are the complaints.
1) MC's character changed from the first few chapters to the latest one.
I honestly did not feel the MC's character changed much or at least my thought process when writing him. That being said I might be wrong as those few chaps were written quite a while ago and I am not noticing the discrepancy.
The only thing I can think of that might lead to the difference is my chance of writing style. From around chap 8, I started to describe the thought process and the environments/situation in more detail. This is a pretty glaring issue for me and my writing if it's not enjoyable to read, so please comment.
2)MC feels like he is flip-flopping between panicking/being afraid of everything and trying to be a manipulator.
I am assuming the panicking part comes from the way MC acted when the old Lady suddenly died. I wrote it that way because I thought any person would panic immensely if the person in front of them suddenly after using some MT to gauge them. He also didn't want to exasperate the situation any further and contain that situation as he didn't want to destroy the Guild. I think the angle of being afraid also comes from this.
I also wrote him as someone who panicked at unexpected situations like when in chap 4 p1 or when Solution tried to kill Hekkeran'sgroup. (I do think I laid it on too thick for the newer chaps so I will try to remedy that.)
As, for being manipulated, the MC always had that aspect in him. His action of using magic to draw out info from Hekkeran's group or his not telling the teleport can happen to Ainz. (His act of scrambling Albedo's mind in the bathhouse can also be counted I guess)
3) Overthink everything
Probably just my writing style. Duly noted
4)Slow pace story
This I am aware of and am trying to change it. I am sorry for the "Landing a Job is Hard" chapters. I usually post chapters with a 2-chapter delay so I will try to speed up the story's pace.
Oh, the upcoming smut chapters will be a little extended though. Tell me if I should give the scissor treatment too.
