I walked out feeling the rush of the cold air and looking around this town looked like Christmas all over but lingering on this atmosphere I started thinking 'Are any of the monsters here relatives of those I killed? Am I an idiot as the Flower said? Is anyone crying for them?' I thought feeling bitter I started walking faster avoiding small talk but someone grabbed my hand I stopped and turned "Oh uh H-hey there!" I say smiling quickly it helps that it was a kid who chose to get my attention "Yo You alright I've never seen someone rush out so fast besides a member of the royal guard. They're so cool! Are you pretending to be one? can I join" He asked me "Um well I just have somewhere to be you just made me forget I was supposed to... "I rubbed my chin Before my lie came to me "Right! I had to deliver a letter to someone I care about" I blushed "It's kinda a crush" I said looking away "Oh that's ok but hey if you ever decide to go to Waterfall I'm gonna sneak over since I heard a human's gonna be there I so wanna see them fight Undyne she's the leader of the royal guard!" I sweatdropped "Hehe right I'll totally be there. See yah around" I said before walking "Totally dude!" I heard as I was moving farther.

I had nothing to say to that so I kept moving but I noticed my vision steadily being obscured by snowy fog I flexed my gloved fingers squinting my eyes going forward until I saw a silhouette surprisingly familiar as my eyes started adjusting "AH IT'S YOU HUMAN I'M GLAD YOU RECOVERED ENOUGH TO FACE ME. I HAVE GROWN QUITE FOND OF YOU BUT I CAN'T HELP BUT NOTICE WHAT YOU HAVE DONE SO I'LL GIVE YOU A CHOICE TO SURRENDER. I WILL TAKE YOU TO THE KING AS IS MY DUTY AS A GUARDSMEN" He said holding out his hand I stepped closer to him "I like you as well Papyrus but I have to get out of here" I said clenching my fist and staring into his sockets "AH I SEE THAT IS NOT POSSIBLE THEN I WILL NOT DISRESPECT YOUR DETERMINATION I WILL GIVE MY ALL. THOUGH FEAR NOT CAPTURING YOU IS MY GOAL!" He exclaimed as the world inverted black and white my soul glowed bright.
'well I knew this would happen but first things first'

Papyrus-"WELL LET'S GET STARTED"
Bones rushed at me being pretty small I easily sidestepped them slightly surprised at how small he was starting this out.
'Don't let down your guard partner'
Papyrus-"WELL DONE HUMAN BUT TO NOT BE DECEIVED BY MY APPROACH"
He said waving his finger before twirling sending out huge and small bones together making a hill I jumped it easily even as it circled back I did a backflip to add a little style but suddenly my soul changed as as crashed into the snow a bone jabbed me in the cheek as I rubbing my cheek I stood up and smiled.
Papyrus-"GOT YOU DIDN'T I? OF COURSE YOU'RE BLUE NOW. WHICH MEANS YOU'RE GROUNDED. NO MORE DODGING SO EASILY NEHEHEHE!"
*Papyrus poses and is sparkling somehow?
"I'm a big fan of tricks I appreciate you explaining though"

Blue bones rushed at me getting close before going backward I turned around instantly and jumped at the last second and stood still only to get smacked and dragged by the regular bones and blue bones finally passing through me.
'He has you in a pickle now partner'

I got up and sighed "I'm not going to let Just kick me around even if I have no intention of killing you," I said before rushing at him though because of the change in my soul he easily blocked my attack before I was going back to the same distance we started.
"YOU WERE SO CLOSE THOUGH UNFORTUNATELY FOR YOU. I'LL MAKE SURE IT'S A BIT HARDER THIS TIME NYEHEHE"
'Looks like you made a wrong move this time'
I heard Chara say and I couldn't help but agree as bones rushed from both sides I jumped but 2 sharp bones came from above and slammed me down with force even though they pulled me down from my clothes I gasped for air as my vision blurred I was at my limit.

Before I could heal Papyrus picked me up I was trembling barely looking into his sockets. "P-please d-don't ki-" I stopped as he just put me over his shoulder.
"YOU LOSE THIS ROUND HUMAN BUT FEAR NOT I WAS NOT LYING ON JUST WANTING TO CAPTURE YOU"

I felt him moving hearing the crunching of his feet in the snow "YOU KNOW HUMAN I SPENT COUNTLESS DAYS PRACTICING TO CONTROL MY MAGIC TO A GREAT DEAL I WAS SO GOOD IF I SO CHOOSED NOT EVEN A INSECT WOULD BE KILLED BY MY BONES IF I HAD NO INTENTION. THAT IS WHY YOU'RE STILL ALIVE I DON'T WISH TO SEE YOU GO EVEN IF WE ARE SUPPOSED TO BE ENEMIES" Papyrus explained to me before I heard a door open as I was laid on the floor before he left I was laying in the dark. His words echoed in my mind my eyes widened my hands trembling I could feel the intensity in my soul.
'T-These M-Monster can learn to not kill y-yet none other than maybe Toriel could bother to care enough to learn not to be harmful. They have no excuse'

Chara's eyes widened in shock feeling the difference in LV gain they couldn't help but smile.
'This is unexpected that increase is different I never heard stories like this even from the...books I've read'
Chara sat down and closed their eyes feeling more content than gitty from this type of growth. "That Papyrus is so deceiving not in character but In how he views himself just from this it's clear if he really tried he'd already been the leader of the Royal guard." They closed their eyes and opened them again being outside the mindscape seamlessly following Frisk seeing them heading to their save point. 'I can't believe we look so alike this arrangement is a distorted mirror but supporting them is worth these new experiences'.
Frisk POV
I saved my progress the immediate effects of my growth were fully evident and I was resolved to not kill Papyrus but I needed something for my defense I headed into a shop meeting the shopkeeper "Hello sweetheart I've never had someone as young as you come in. But don't worry I don't sell anything bad for your age" She said with a soft smile. I look around and see a bandana and point at it "I'll take that" I say as she grabs it and hands it to me I pay her before spotting some books. "Hey, what are those books about?" I asked she glanced over and shrugged "Ah nothing just some basic books on monsters. You look young you sure you're interested in what's said?".
'Papyrus could figure out you left at any moment you should deal with him before coming back here'
'Your right I got too comfortable too quickly'
I smiled and shook my head "No I'm ok maybe later" I said walking out I immediately headed back as the fog set once again I could see his silhouette once again before everything became clear.
"IT SEEMS LIKE YOU ESCAPED WITH EASE AND SEEM A LOT MORE ENERGIZED THAN BEFORE. BUT THAT WILL NOT CATCH ME BY SURPRISE HUMAN. I THE GREAT PAPYRUS WILL JUST CHANGE TACTICS!" he announced before summoning two long bones one blue and the other normal. "SO I WILL OVERWHELM YOU WITH MY SPECIAL ATTACK!".

The world flickered black like entering another space my soul glowed brightly. He rushed forward and twirled creating a fast spiral of blue and white I had to duck and steady myself for his blue bone before I was swept off my feet and smacked me back and 2 blue bones slammed down I had no option to move.
"HUMAN I HAVE NOTICED THAT YOU HAVE HURT OTHERS. I WAS TOLD OVER THE PHONE BY QUITE A STAR SOURCE CLOSE TO THE ROYAL SCIENTIST" He said before the bones disappeared as his sockets showed he was conflicted about something"HE WAS QUITE URGING THAT I...BUT I FIRMLY REFUSED AFTER ALL THERE'S THERE'S STILL GOOD IN YOU."He summoned 2 long bones gripping them like sticks "THOUGH EVEN IF YOU WOULD SEEM AT YOUR WORST I'D STILL GIVE YOU CHANCE YOU WILL BE CAPTURED" He crouched as he rushed with a wide swing I ducked with ease before jumping backwards as he threw the other long bone feeling a shift in the ground I jumped high as a block of bones rises and fell Papyrus points as my soul receives the weight of blue I still managed to land on my feet. A rush of bones rushed at me rising and falling like there was some rhythm to it jumping at the right time was key. A rush of blue came my way before 2 large bones came from both sides my soul glowed bright and I punched one of the bones cracking it in 2 before jumping over the other one. I looked at Papyrus who had a brief look of shock.
'was that magic or just strength?'
'I mean if all the stories are true I wouldn't be surprised if it was both'
Papyrus brushed off his disbelief "THAT WAS CLEVER HUMAN BUT YOU WON'T GET THROUGH MY SPECIAL ATTACK!" a dozen small bones came forward before expanding I jumped through 5 brief tight spaces before they suddenly shrunk hitting me head on falling back as they went by I got up. My soul was red again as Papyrus launched a massive column of bones I jumped up seeing one big bone I stabbed my fingers through climbing over before jumping off I was pushed down by blue bones slamming in the snow I groaned from the impact and got up seeing Papyrus sweating.

"OK, IT SEEMS YOU'VE PUSHED ME TO MY LIMIT WITHOUT USING MUCH FORCE AT ALL. THOUGH TRUTHFULLY I'VE ALSO TIED MY HANDS. HUMAN HAVING YOU AROUND HAS BEEN WONDERFUL DESPITE WHATEVER YOU'VE DONE OUT OF MY SIGHT I CAN'T DENY YOUR RESTRAINT PROVES YOU ARE NOT ONLY GREAT BUT STRONG TOO I THE GREAT PAPYRUS CONCEDE TO YOU" He declared as color seem to fall back in place.

"so what now? Is there anyone else I should worry about?" I asked which Papyrus nodded "ABSOLUTELY HUMAN BUT FEAR NOT I TRUST YOU CAN GET THROUGH IT IF I CONVINCE UNDYNE THERE"S NO NEED TO FIGHT YOUR JOURNEY WILL BE AS SMOOtH AS BONES NEYEHEHE!" He laughed "AND IF YOU EVER DO MEET THE KING YOU SHOULD KNOW...."He paused making me feel slightly unnerved "HE'S AN COMPLETE FUZZY PUSHOVER INT FACT IF YOU MEET HIM I"M SURE IF YOU SAY. PLEASE MR>DREEMUR CAN I PLEASE GO HOME HE"LL LET YOU RIGHT THROUGH" He looked down like he had a watch "WOWIE IT"S ALMOOST TIME FOR MY REPORT I CAN"T BE LATE FOR THAT FARWELL NYEHEHE!" He sprinted backwards disappearing out of sight.'He is the coolest dude though I feel he's the most clueless person or just trying not to lighten the mood' I sighed before running back into the village the place was a bit less lively, but then again I don't know how long that fight was as I held the save.

I stepped back and ran back out but suddenly the ground shook I quickly turned around and punched through a vine seeing the last person I wanted to."Looks like you're not as stupid as you looked...So yah proud of yourself I mean you put on quite a show for what? You died so little DEATH SHOULD MEAN NOTHING TO THOSE LIKE YOU AND ME Try to be less weak with your performance this time cause Papyrus is an exception. Trust me that leader of there's is quite fearsome...Or you can not and DIE AMUSINGLY!" He said before sinking out of sight. 'so he knows everything and has been watching me that's just great' I sighed and focused back on going forward crossing through the fog I saw the crossing point as my feet stepped into blue lively grass taking in the new scent of the change in air "I can smell the distant water from here it's relaxing". It didn't take much walking to see that strange comedic short stack again " Heya kiddo I gotta thank you for how you handled my bro do you care for a little chat between pals?".
(Seem like it's over for now but hey what the worst things can get I'm sure everything is gonna be cool my bad for taking so long comment vote and peace)
