If Khan was to take a guess, he would say that the lava that the bear was currently residing in was the same source of the Dark Lotus Flame that Zuri could control.

Like a cup of water and a sea of water, no matter how one tried, if they poured a cup of water onto the sea, it would only join and do zero harm to the sea itself. They were from the same source!
