Capítulo 28: Mind Games

Before she could step into the private chamber she was told to wait.

While Maxixe looked at a rack of slippers until he located a pair that matched her shoe size. 

They were just in the waiting area of the baths and already she could feel the heat emanating from the inner room. 

"Here put these on," he commanded.

She took the slippers without saying a word and put them on, they were a perfect fit.

In the center of the room lay a trunk filled with wood chips, there were assorted shapes and types of wood.

Each type of wood offered something different and unique. 

For example the scent of eucalyptus was different from cedar and the shape and density of the wood determined how long the water would remain heated.

It wasn't hard to figure out that these wood chips were tossed into a fiery furnace that melted them slowly.
