Capítulo 57: They will find no evidence
After I drove home, I finally hacked into a server one last time.
It was the server of the California Bureau of Investigation. I knew they would investigate this crime as organized crime, which the triads did, was one of their involvements.
I knew they would be investigating me. Due to this I hacked into their security system and viewed their security footage live.
I installed a little system, which would alarm me when they noticed the massacre. After that I started sleeping. It was already pretty late and I was a little exhausted.

I slowly woke up and turned the alarm off. I turned around and looked at my clock. It was 4 a.m.
They were pretty fast.
I looked at the camera footage, but there was still no one there.
Luckily the camera recorded voices, and due to this, I was able to hear them coming.
"Why did you call us this late boss?", I heard a young woman who was obviously tired say to a person who came onto view just now.
Soon after I saw the young woman. I was a little surprised.
I recognized her as a character from a TV show I knew. Teresa Lisbon from the show The Mentalist.
My train of thought was soon proven to be correct as I heard more voices.
"There is a very important case", the boss said. His name seems to be Virgil Minelli. I got that from the files.
"We came as fast as we could", I heard two people say. I recognized them as Kimball Cho and Wayne Rigsby.
"You aren't late. When is Jane coming?", Lisbon asked them.
"He said he would arrive in 5 minutes", Cho informed her.
"Then let us wait", Minelli said.
They then sat there and chatted a little bit. Lisbon tried to get a little information out of her boss but was told off the whole time due to it being important information.
"I am here", I heard a male voice say. He soon came into view. It was Patrick Jane, the main character of The Mentalist.
"Good. Then let us begin with the briefing", Minelli said while standing up.
"Do all of you remember the Xiao Feng clan?", Minelli said pointing at a projector.
"Yes. They are a huge nuisance and are very arrogant", Lisbon said.
"Does this important situation have something to do with them? Did they start a gang war?", Jane asked into the group.
"It indeed has something to do with them", Minelli said while taking a deep breath before continuing.
"The whole clan has been massacred this night"
You could feel the atmosphere getting heavier even from the camera.
"Which gang did it?!", Lisbon asked in shock.
"It wasn't a gang", Minelli said, which caused even more shock.
"Who was it then?", Rigsby asked from the side.
"We don't know yet. We only know the enemy was probably alone. He is well armed as well as highly skilled", Minelli answered his question. His voice sounded a little unstable, which showed his disbelief.
"One person killed the entire clan?!"
Even Jane was in shock and asked a little dumbfounded.
"It seems. This is the only footage of the guy we got"
The chief and director of the CBI said as he showed the surveillance video with my small salute.
"This is a provocation against us. This can't be allowed. I order you to find him as soon as possible!", Chief Minelli said eagerly trying to heat up his agents.
"Yes, boss we will take a look at the crime scene right away", Lisbon said and they were all walking away from the security camera. I followed them a little with some other cameras, but they really drove towards the crime scene.
I didn't care too much that famous TV characters would be investigating my crime scene. Even they shouldn't be able to find evidence of me doing it.
Even if they did it would be recorded in the files and I could most likely destroy the evidence from their headquarters.
After that little movie, I went to sleep again. This time longer.
I didn't wake up until it was almost time for lunch.
I went to eat at a special restaurant.
While eating I received a call.
I looked at the date and knew it was my time to shine.
It was Jake asking for me to help him in a so-called Halloween heist.
Shortly after Holt too called.
The same request.
I knew that they would surely organize a Halloween Heist. The same as in the show probably.
Due to this, I added a little flame from the distance to make them organize their little fight a little earlier. Luckily the date still fell on Halloween.
It was currently the 30th of October. Meaning I had one day to go to New York.
Of course I immediately packed up, said goodbye to Haley for a day or two, and flew to New York with my private plane.
I soon arrived in New York, but I still didn't know which team I should choose.
