Capítulo 54: Strange dream and strange crown(chapter 54)

prevoius on chapter 53

After finishing admiring his sorcerer killer outfit, Oliver shifted his attention back to the surrounding cave. Mountains of gold, various materials, and the ice giant sorcerer's hoard lay before him. "I really do need more storage," he mused to himself. With purpose, he began collecting the gold and jewels, along with the magical materials scattered around as well as magical totems contains spells "i should start learning magic" he mused to himself. Finally, he turned his attention to a peculiar blue sphere resting on an altar. "Hmm, why is this on an altar?" Oliver wondered aloud. Still in his sorcerer killer form, he picked up the glowing blue sphere, causing it to flicker momentarily before he decided to take it as well. After a thorough check of the whole area, he found nothing else of interest and moved on.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Inside his shell home, Oliver sat holding the sphere, deep in thought. "So this realm I am in is called Jotunheim, the realm of the ice giants," he murmured to himself. The sphere in his hand glowed with an intense blue aura, similar to the magical items in his possession.

[ Name: Jotunheim Sphere ]

[ Grade: Blue (Peak) ]

[ Description: Crafted from a mysterious blue metal that once belonged to a Jotunheim ice giant sorcerer, this sphere emanates an aura of ancient magic. It powered the sorcerer's dungeon and enhanced his spells when in close proximity. ]

[ Option 1: Mana Absorption (Rank: E) (Passive) - This sphere has the ability to gather raw magical energy from its surroundings to power itself, ensuring it never runs out of energy, (charge: 13%) ]

[ Option 2: Object Connection (Rank: E) (Passive) - Within a 100-meter radius, the sphere automatically connects to nearby objects, empowering them with magical energy. ]

[ Durability: 84% ]

"It can power nearby magical objects and recharge itself from magical energy in the air. This is going to come in handy," he remarked with a smile as he sorted through his loot. Surveying his shell home, he decided to get up. "Alright, what was on my list again?" Checking his to-do list, he found several items, but his eyes landed on the 14th item: a blood sphere. "A sphere made from a collection of blood," he recalled.

Oliver got to work, picking up several vials of blood he had collected. These bloods were from the eldritch marrow god, Adana the undying eldritch goddess, vampires, and demons. "Maybe I should use other blood, but what I want this sphere to have is the ability to regenerate, and the origins of these blood all did," he thought. With that in mind, he decided to use only these creatures. "I should probably find a way to purify it and make it possible for me to not only consume the blood of these creatures but to also gain their abilities," Oliver contemplated. He was not just satisfied with obtaining the bloodline of a dragon; he wanted multiple bloodlines that provided him with various abilities. Just like with items, he needed multiple of these. One was not enough.

After gathering the vials he needed, he poured them into a glass mold in the shape of a sphere. He picked up the cryoheart crystal, which allowed him to freeze objects to absolute zero. With precision, he used it to freeze the blood in the mold. Carefully, he broke the glass, revealing a sphere of frozen blood. He then gave it an option, but not before increasing his luck. After successfully granting the frozen sphere of blood an option, Oliver watched as it released an aura. Much to his delight, the aura was purple, indicating that the item was of a higher tier.

[ Name: Eldritch Bloodsphere ]

[ Grade: Purple ]

[ Description: A mesmerizing red sphere, an otherworldly fusion of demon, eldritch marrow god essence, immortal eldritch goddess power, and vampire blood, condensed using a cryoheart crystal to freeze to absolute zero. This sphere pulsates with an insatiable hunger, drawing in nearby blood and energy to continuously regenerate its wielder. It also serves as a powerful golem core, capable of bringing innate objects to life. ]

[ Option 1: Blood Syphon (Rank: E) (Passive) - Continuously absorbs nearby blood, providing rapid regeneration to the wielder as well as to the sphere itself, allowing it to recover its health as long as its being held. ]

[ Option 2: Bloodbend (Rank: E) (Active) - Allows the wielder to manipulate the blood within any target within a 50-meter radius, exerting control over their movements without any resistance. ]

[ Durability: 100% ]

"One passive option that allows me, as well as the sphere, to recover from injuries as long as there is blood, and an active option which allows me to control the blood of other creatures within a 50-meter radius," Oliver explained to himself. However, after digesting the information about his new weapon and comparing it to his other purple items, he realized this sphere was on the lower tier. This made him frown for a second before his expression eased. "It's probably that my option level is too low; otherwise, given the nature of the blood used, it should have more powerful options." Setting the newly created sphere aside, he made a mental note to focus on leveling up his option skill.

"Given that I am about to level up my option skill, it wouldn't be too late for it to start showing its potential," he reasoned. With determination, Oliver picked up a bowl containing a powder made from the horns of a demon. Next, he took a steel bar and dunked them both into the primeheat crucible. This crucible had options to trap heat and melt materials inside. However, this time, Oliver didn't start a fire. Instead, he transformed into his hybrid form, his throat glowing orange as he breathed a stream of fire onto the crucible, continuously.

Oliver was able to quickly heat up the materials and melt them using his draconic breath. When the materials were in their liquid form, he added the blood of demons into the mix. He continued breathing fire onto the materials until exhausted, a rare occurrence for him. Then, he let the crucible continuously melt the materials using the retained heat from his draconic breath. When the mixture was ready, he added some debris of mysterium, what remained from the sorcerer killer, a nugget of anti-metal, and a nugget of adamantium. These he placed near a mold of a sword.

Next, he gathered three metals: what was left of the mysterium, what remained of the adamantium, and what was left of the anti-metal. "All that is left is two kinds of metal: vibranium and uru the metal that thors hammer is made from to create the best alloy, then create my best weapon. Since I am in one of the 10 realms, I might as well try to focus on obtaining uru," Oliver then decided to sleep, and he had a dream, but it wasnt the usual dream, rather, this dream was divided into two part, one part was him spending hundred days forging a metal bar, and the other part was him standing in the void of space, with a golden crown that had blue jem on his head with an expression that was devoid of any emotion, around him, there was no time, no space, nothing, just him.

Waking up, oliver decided with purpose. With a determined stride, he exited his shell home and arrived in the ice tundra outside. The frozen realm stretched before him, its icy landscape both daunting and familiar, as he set off on his quest for more powerful materials. "Alright, let's go monster hunting," Oliver declared before setting off.

[ 2 days later ]

In one of the 10 realms of Yggdrasil known as Jotunheim, a frozen tundra stretched out as far as the eye could see. Inside a cave nestled among the icy cliffs, a treasure trove of ore glinted in the dim light. Oliver stood within the cave, his figure illuminated by a faint bluish aura emanating from the pickaxe in his hand. Gripping the greish pickaxe firmly, he struck at the side of the wall where veins of ore protruded. This pickaxe was no ordinary tool; it was imbued with a pulsing blue energy, courtesy of its options.
