"We need to talk, Zoey." Her father began, his voice soothing and calm. "Alpha Tristan has requested your hand in marriage and I have accepted."

"What do you mean by I'll be getting married to Alpha Tristan?" Zoey's voice broke the calmness in the room, looking at her mother with a look of disbelief. "Mother, can you hear him?"

"You have to relax and listen to me, Zoey." Her father, Alpha Jones slammed his fist against the table before him, making her flinch. "It's not like we have a choice."

"Yes, Zoey. It is for the good of the pack." Luna Lina sat next to her daughter holding her hands in hers. "We need to strengthen our alliance with the Blackthorne pack or else we won't measure up to the other packs now building more armies. And the only way we can strengthen the alliance is through your marriage to him as he requested."
