Once breakfast was finished and everyone's stomachs were full, Adrien instructed them to prepare for their departure without any further delay.
He addressed his companions, his expression serious but kind.
"Let us depart while the weather is fair and the morning is early. I believe we should arrive at our destination by tonight."
Emily sighed, leaning her cheek against her hand.
She'd wanted to explore this place further, and perhaps sneak in a bath...but. He did make a good point. Getting to the summit on time was more important than enjoying the scenic route.
Thus, she didn't put up any protest. The others seemed to agree with Adrien's assessment as well, and so preparing the horses and getting ready to leave went without a hitch from anyone.
He led the way to the carriage, followed closely by Kieran, Merwyn, Mia-Stella and Emily.
