After they clear up the monster's camp, the head of the guild decides to take the place as their own and set up the main camp, which is agreed upon by the duo of Ian and Kell.
The supporters began to set up the encampment, taking the material from the Thrine Forest and using some that were brought just in case they found an ideal place to set up the base camp.
The base camp is also where the potioneers, herbalists, and blacksmiths will be staying, the solid defense will increase their safety.
The adventurers also dispersed, going their ways to help set up the camp. Some help chop wood, some gather water and some help prepare food for the expedition. However, there are some like the head and Ian and Kell that did not help the building of the camp, not like anyone would say anything about it.
With the showcase of both Ian and Kell, the two's opinions were considered important, with no one considering them to be deadweight anymore. In fact, the one who badmouths the duo finds themselves isolated by the others, in the hope of not being implicated with the fools.
Neither Ian nor Kell knew of them, of course, but even if they did they did not care for the little rumors. However, if it was about their lovers, it would be a different story altogether, with the one who started it buried by Kell, alive.

"So, do you think they will attack us?" Mr. Grul asked, Kell, nodding at the older man.
"Highly likely, after all, they launched numerous attacks when we took this camp. Even if they don't come to attack the camp, they have to use the path to move different tribes to different parts of the Thrine Forest.
So, get ready because, by tomorrow, we will be attacked by the goblins," Kell told others in the main camp, who nodded upon hearing his explanation.
"Our plan will be to let them attack us and chip away most of their strength while we still have some advantage, namely a good defensive position.
We can limit our casualties, and save our strength for the more dangerous fight in the deeper part of the forest," Ian continued where Kell left off, giving more details of their plan.
"Also, some of the adventurers with us that specialized in scouting will try to gain more information about the goblin's main encampment," he emphasized, before saying what shocked most of the people inside the command camp.
"We already made some maps of this place and some areas maybe 1 to 2 kilometers from here so they can know where to go," Ian told them, only to be met with a shocked silence.
"Mr Ian," one of the leaders, the captain of the guards if he remembered it right, said, "Have you been here before?"
"Yes, Kell and I came here to collect some information until we were chased off by a large goblin army, but we managed to kill a lot of them," the others merely nodded absentmindedly.
"That's why we knew they would attack us. The goblins make it hard for us to rest," Ian complained some more before shaking his head.
That is all he is going to say, as the young man no longer talks about his experience in the depths of Thrine Forest.

As the shift for the night watch was set up, most of the members of the expeditions thought it was unnecessary, with the presence of a proper camp. They were wrong.
"4 hobgoblins and 40 goblins," one of the scouts exclaimed to the one on night watch duty, who eyed the enemies coming their way.
"Prepare yourself and leave the hobgoblins to us Iron-rank adventurers," the Iron-rank adventurer on guard duty told the lower-ranked adventurers before heading off to meet with the hobgoblins.
"Make sure to make as little noise as possible, so the one who is resting can get some rest," one of the older guards told the people under his command before heading to the face of another hobgoblin.
As the expedition forces engage with the monsters, they begin to realize why a night watch is necessary in this part of the forest.

"Another 3 hob, leading some 60 strong goblins, with maybe some shaman, I am not sure of the last one," one of the watchers reported to the one on night duty.
"Fewer elites but possible spell caster. Send our mage to flush the shamans out and send words for the fighters to prepare and charge after the bombardment is finished.
Soon, a volley of Fireballs rained upon the goblin's force, killing many lesser goblins though the hobgoblins managed to escape relatively unscathed, some minor burns on their arms aside.
However, they still die under the charge of the adventurers, who attacked the goblins while they were still in disarray.
"Rargh!"
"Aargh!"
Screams come out of the goblins' mouths as they are exterminated with extreme prejudice by the adventurers and guards.

"The goblins are attacking the palisade at the south!" one of the watchmen reported. One of the captains of the guards nodded before issuing orders to the forces under him.
Soon, 30 guards and 10 adventurers make their way to the southern defenses, where they meet with almost 100 strong goblins thrashing the defenses prepared by them the evening before.
"Attack!" the archers began to rain down arrows upon the goblins with some of the melee combatants taking slings and throwing rocks at the gathered goblins, assaulting them from afar.
They keep on the skirmishes to avoid suffering injuries or worse, fatalities in the early part of the fight. However, the goblins slowly advanced towards their position even after being pelted by rocks and arrows.
As they got closer, the captain issued another order, "Spear!" the guards took out their spears before arranging themselves in a line and pointing their spears at the goblins.
"Charge!" the spearmen charged at the goblins, their spear decimating the ranks of the goblins while the adventurers began to gang up on the hobgoblins, preventing them from joining in the fight and making a wreck out of his formation.

"Looks like the night duty has some fun," Ian remarked dryly, seeing some of the expedition members dragged on makeshift stretchers to where the herbalist and healers are located.
"Now where is the bright guy who said we don't need to have a night watch?" Ian pretended to search for the said man even though he knew the man was just across from him, shamefully looking away while the others were trying not to laugh.
