Pepper reminded her boss.

"Apogee Award?"
It finally dawned on Tony, who immediately scoffed, "Such a boring thing is a complete waste of life!"
"The jet's already waiting for you, and I promised Rhodey you'd make it to Vegas."
"Did you? Actually, I was just planning to hit the casinos, sorry if there was a misunderstanding."
Tony stated matter-of-factly.
According to the original trajectory, Tony Stark would indeed have done so.
He stood Rhodey up at the award ceremony to enjoy himself at a casino.

What craziness had her boss decided upon this time? What was he thinking?
He'd promised to go before!
