Chapter 138

From above, Lake Erie unveils its wonders.

Within a few kilometers of the lake, the water vanishes without a trace. The surrounding lake remains undisturbed, creating a vacuum-like zone that isolates the area.

At the core of this anomaly, Jude and Inverse Lightning stand. Jude stands firm, unaffected by the intense gravitational field, while Inverse Lightning, Albert Swan, struggles, half-kneeling.

"Under 256 times the gravity field, can you still move?" Jude challenges.

Inverse Lightning fights against the overwhelming force, his body shaking violently as he attempts to increase his speed. But the super gravitational field binds him, rendering his efforts futile.

Despite the absence of physical restraints, Inverse Lightning feels as though he's encased in cement.

"Why..." Inverse Lightning screams, pushing himself to go faster. He refuses to die, yearning to return to his world.

In Cowboy 1, Jude observes his opponent's speed. Inverse Lightning accelerates from Mach 50 to Mach 127, reaching speeds equivalent to 43 kilometers per second or nearly 160,000 kilometers per hour, capable of circling the Earth's equator in 15 minutes. It's a terrifying velocity.

Contrary to popular belief, not all members of the Lightning family possess superpowers. Breaking the speed of light requires an exceptional state of explosive potential, difficult to achieve.

As Inverse Lightning struggles, Jude's patience wears thin.

"I'm growing bored. I wanted to witness the power of the speed force, defying all laws of physics. But it seems you're not its chosen vessel. Then... die," Jude declares, a glint of red in Cowboy No. 1's eyes.

Resigned to his fate, Inverse Lightning ceases his struggles, lying down defeated.

As Inverse Lightning surrenders, his mind wanders to ominous thoughts: the arrival of Cthulhu, ancient demons, and grotesque imagery.

Amid this chaos, Jude notices a familiar tune, a haunting melody he's heard before.

Grasping Inverse Lightning by the neck, Jude questions his unsettling song.

"I'm not from this world," Inverse Lightning reveals. "I was thrown into this strange world while traveling through time. I just wanted to alter fate, but I'm surrounded by unfamiliar faces instead."

With a newfound understanding, Jude realizes Inverse Lightning's predicament.

"You hail from a world of DC comics or films, devoid of Marvel," Jude deduces.

Unable to comprehend, Inverse Lightning smiles mockingly.

"Before I die, help me kill Amanda Waller. She's been a hindrance," Inverse Lightning pleads.

Without hesitation, Jude grants his request.

Cowboy No. 1 reduces Inverse Lightning to ashes with a swift laser beam.

Contemplating the existence of parallel worlds, Jude wonders if this stitched reality serves as the center of the multiverse.

Leaving behind his conjectures, Jude sets course for Amanda Waller's location.

In a moment, Amanda Waller's hiding spot is revealed. She attempts to deceive, but Jude sees through her facade.

"You can't escape," Jude declares.

Unfazed, Amanda Waller asserts her authority, supported by the president and the military.

Mocking her, Jude ends her life with a laser blast.

As the blood mist settles, Jude spares a nearby tree from contamination.

---

Amanda Waller's death marked the end of the ARGUS, signaling the demise of two major entities: S.H.I.E.L.D. from Marvel and the ARGUS from DC.

As for their potential resurrection, it's a simple cycle of building and destruction. Rebuilt once, destroyed once, they'll eventually learn their lesson.

The next target: the White House. But before setting off, Jude contacts Ivy.

"Ivy, how are things on your end?"

"It's all good. We've safely relocated Peter's aunt, girlfriend, and family to a secure location. No one's bothered us so far."

"Don't worry, chaos reigns in S.H.I.E.L.D. I just took down Amanda Waller. ARGUS is finished. Next stop: the White House. Interested?"

Excitement floods Ivy's voice from the other end. "The White House? Wow, count me in! I'm interested."

"I knew you'd be. I've reserved a spot for you and a few others. If you're up for it, let's go together. They say the scenery there is quite something."

"Are you kidding? It's the White House! I never got to visit as a kid. This might be my only chance. Who wouldn't want to experience that?" Ivy asks, grinning.

Singularity pipes up first. "Will there be ice cream at the White House?"

"I...don't know. But I think there might be," Jude replies.

"In that case, count me in," Singularity decides.

Juhua Girl Lazuer stands up next. "If Wonder Woman decides to stick her nose in, I'll be there to put her in her place."

"Three down, anyone else? Titania, feeling vengeful after being locked up for so long?"

Titania hesitates before speaking, "Actually, we're about to tie the knot. I'm looking for stability."

Ivy understands. "Alright, you stay behind. But you're missing out on quite an adventure."

"Wait...maybe it's worth joining after all. Creel, we're still fugitives. Those politicians won't let us off easy. Showing them our strength might resolve this matter."

With the girlfriend's vote, Absorbing Man agrees.

In the end, only Spider-Man and a few ordinary folks remain, watching the scene unfold.

"Peter, can you explain any of this? I feel like I'm in a dream," Gwen Stacy asks.

Spider-Man ignores the presence of the others and pulls Gwen into a comforting embrace. "Gwen, this world isn't as safe as we thought. Our country, our society...justice isn't always served."

Spider-Man recounts his recent experiences, leaving everyone astonished.

"I know it's hard to believe, but it's the truth. Mr. Herbert was right. Sometimes, to protect you, we have to make tough choices...not always fair to everyone."

Aunt May gently strokes Spider-Man's head. "Peter, are you alright?"

Spider-Man looks at her and smiles. "I'm better than ever, Aunt. I feel more awake than ever. Remember what you said to me when I graduated? 'Time to leave the ivory tower.'"

"Quick, look up 'black government projects' on the internet. You won't believe what they've been up to," Gwen's mother interjects.

As they browse through the unsettling findings, their eyes soften, and Aunt May and Gwen Stacy embrace Spider-Man.

---

Washington, D.C., the political hub of the United States, is where the White House stands.

Inside the White House conference room, a group of suited individuals gathers, representing the nation's power core.

The Vice President, Speaker of the House, Secretaries of various departments...all seated, discussing urgent matters.

At the head of the table, a distinguished elderly man tosses his phone aside, his excitement palpable. "I understand we come from different parties and represent various interests. But we face a common crisis."

McConnel, the Speaker of the House, scoffs. "I fail to see how this concerns us all. Simply put, if the President resigns, the public will be appeased."

"McConnell, you're being vindictive!"

Ignoring the accusation, McConaughey remains silent. For him, this is a golden opportunity to oust the President.

Amidst the debate, the door bursts open, and Ivy strides in confidently, followed by Titania.

The tension rises as Ivy's presence disrupts the meeting.

"Who are you? Leave at once!" an official demands.

Boom! Ivy's swift action silences him.

"Are we interrupting something? Because we're here to end it," Ivy declares boldly.

With a flicker of uncertainty, the old white man cautiously asks, "Excuse me...who are you?"

"The ones who'll end you," Jude answers bluntly.
