Skyla hesitated for a second before responding, not meeting her friend's eyes.

"Mr Zyair bought this for me at Comic-Con."

Huria gasped loudly as her fingers grazed on the pin studded with diamonds and emeralds.

"Shut up! Are you serious? It's covered in diamonds." She was stunned.

"Yeah! That was my exact reaction and I tried to refuse but he requested," Skyla explained to her friend. Huria was the only person she was going to confide this in.

"What an amazing man he is, Sky. For someone who doesn't like women, this is him going beyond. And you have earned this, I am sure you are doing a stellar job of being his secretary." Huria held her shoulders and beamed, too happy that her friend was receiving the recognition she deserved all along.
