Capítulo 2: Reincarnation

"Wait a minute, you're not the right person! No, don't tell me we got the wrong mortal!" Chris yelled, panic rising in his voice.

"Shush, child. Let me figure this out," a mysterious voice replied.

"Figure what out? Who are you, and why can't I see you?"

"Yes, yes. It looks like Verdo killed the wrong mortal again. Open your eyes, mortal."

With a wave of her hand, Chris blinked and suddenly could see. "What did you just do?"

"Who, me? I simply allowed you to see again, mortal."

Chris took a moment to process his surroundings. Before him stood a tall woman clad in a flowing white robe and a wizard hat. His gaze shifted to the landscape around them—a vast plain that felt like it floated in space, with glowing orbs resembling stars scattered throughout.

"Are you done staring? I don't have all day," the woman said, an amused expression on her face.

"My name is Xokena, Goddess of Reincarnation. It seems my brother had you killed—by accident."

"Wait, killed? I'm dead? A goddess of reincarnation? WAIT, I'M DEAD!" Chris exclaimed.

"Yes, mortal. This happens from time to time. It isn't entirely his fault; keeping track of all the realms can be complicated.

"Wait—realms? Are you saying there are others?"

"Yes, your realm was abandoned by the gods who created it. Mortals grew cruel and evil, so they left and made a new one."

"How many gods are there? How many realms?"

"That's a complicated question. Since you died and we are to blame, I'll answer. It all began with Zudbirth, the God of Gods, who created lesser gods and goddesses like myself with specific duties—Death, Destruction, Creation, and of course, Reincarnation. The God of Creation was tasked with crafting realms—essentially universes infused with magic and power."

"So there are infinite realms?" Chris asked, overwhelmed.

"Yes, essentially. But what will happen to you now? Will I just die because of a mistake?"

"No, mortal. You have options. You can die, or I can reincarnate you into another realm."

"Really? You can do that for me? Do I get to choose?"

"Honestly, you're taking this quite well. But no, I choose."

"Okay, so where would I be going?"

"You will be reborn in a realm of magic on a planet named Rozaturn."

"REALLY? I get magic? And I can finally be free from work?"

"Yes, you're taking this well. Since it was our fault you died, I'll grant you three wishes upon your reincarnation to ensure you don't die within the first 30 seconds."

"Three wishes? This is literally a dream come true! What are they?"

"How is this world structured? Are there only humans?" Chris asked, filled with curiosity.

"No, there are various races: orcs, elves, goblins, and even angels."

"Angels? Are there fallen angels?"

"Yes, there are. And demons as well."

Chris's mind raced as he recalled all the anime he'd watched. "Okay, then I want to be a Fallen Arc Angel."

"Clever choice, mortal. You're aware of evolution?"

"Evolution?"

"Every race can evolve, but it's rare, especially for an Arc Angel. It's one of the most coveted transformations."

Chris jumped with excitement. "So you're saying I'll start off Op?"

"What is 'OP'?" she asked, confused.

"Oh, sorry! It means 'overpowered.'"

"Yes, in that case, you will be strong. But don't get carried away you will start as just a fallen angel."

"what do you mean by 'don't get carried away'?"

"Just remember that even with your strength, other elements in this realm can make mortals powerful. Don't expect to win every fight."

"Understood. For my second wish, I want an infinite storage bag."

"Smart choice. You'll need it in this relatively new world; you'll be carrying plenty."

"Oh, and I want it to pull out items I want when I reach in!"

"Noted. And what's your third wish?"

"I want a familiar or a pet to guide me in this new world."

"Wow, you've really thought this through. Almost as if you were planning it."

"Well, I've read enough stories to want to shape my own adventure. I hope it helps me thrive."

"Wait! Will I remember anything from this?"

"You'll retain some memories, but they will be hazy—like dreams. It helps with the transition."

"Got it," Chris said, a mix of anticipation and nervousness filling him. "So what's next?"

"Xokena raises an eyebrow, impressed. Very well, Chris. A familiar it is. What kind of creature do you envision?"

Chris pauses, excitement bubbling. "I want a raven! A small one, but one that's loyal and can help me."

Xokena smiles. "A raven it shall be. You'll have a bond that enhances both your abilities. Now, are you ready to be reborn?"

"Got it," Chris nods, feeling a mix of anticipation and apprehension. "So, what's next?"

Xokena waves her hand again, and the scenery shifts. "We begin your journey, Chris. Embrace this new life with courage and curiosity."

The light around him swirls, and he feels a pull, ready to leap into the unknown. "Here goes nothing!"

With that, Chris is enveloped in a warm glow, feeling the essence of magic and adventure beckoning him forward.

Chris felt himself being pulled through a swirling vortex of colors and light. Images flashed by—forests, mountains, and bustling villages. He closed his eyes, grappling with a mix of exhilaration and fear about what awaited him.

When he opened his eyes again, he found himself lying on soft grass, the cool earth beneath him grounding his thoughts. Above him stretched a vast, clear sky, the air filled with the sounds of chirping birds and the gentle rustle of leaves. He sat up slowly, trying to make sense of his surroundings—a vibrant landscape, dotted with wildflowers and dense trees, surrounded him.

"Welcome to Rozaturn," Xokena's voice echoed in his mind. "Now, find your bearings and prepare for your new life."

Chris stood, feeling a rush of energy coursing through him. He looked down to see he was dressed in a tunic and trousers made from a fine, light fabric adorned with intricate patterns. "Not bad," he muttered, adjusting his clothing, still in disbelief.

"Now, where's my raven?" he thought, excitement bubbling within him. Almost as if summoned, a small figure landed next to him—a shimmering, black raven with bright, intelligent eyes.

"I'm Kira," it chirped, flapping its wings eagerly. "Your loyal companion!"

"Wow, you're even cuter than I imagined!" Chris exclaimed, kneeling to meet Kira's gaze.

"Ready for an adventure, Chris?" Kira asked, her voice filled with mischief.

"Absolutely! But first, we need to figure out what to do here. This place is… overwhelming."

Kira nodded, her wings shimmering in the dappled sunlight filtering through the trees. "We're in a magical realm, and there's a village not far from here. We can gather information and maybe find some quests!"

Chris took a deep breath, absorbing the vibrant flora and the rich scents of blooming flowers and fresh earth. "A village sounds good. Let's go, but slowly—I want to take this all in."

They ventured deeper into the forest, navigating through a maze of trees and underbrush. The sunlight danced on the leaves above, casting playful shadows on the ground. Chris felt a mix of excitement and uncertainty. Each sound—rustling leaves, distant animal calls—was new and intriguing.

After a while, they reached the edge of the forest, revealing a bustling village in the distance. Chris's heart raced. "There it is!"

As they walked into the village, he noticed various races mingling—humans, elves, and even a few goblins, all engaged in daily activities. Stalls lined the streets, selling everything from weapons to potions. The air buzzed with chatter and laughter.

"Looks lively," Chris said, surveying the scene. "Where should we start?"

Kira flitted around, her wings creating a gentle breeze. "Let's talk to that merchant over there! He might know about any troubles we can help with."

They approached a stall where a burly man with a bushy beard was arranging his goods. Chris cleared his throat. "Excuse me! We're new here and looking for quests."

The merchant looked up, intrigued. "New, eh? There's always something brewing. Recently, a band of goblins has been causing trouble near the old ruins. If you can handle them, I can offer you gold and supplies."

Chris exchanged a glance with Kira, her eyes sparkling with enthusiasm. "We can do that! Where can we find them?"

The merchant pointed down a narrow path leading back into the forest. "Follow that trail. They've been spotted near some crumbling ruins."

"Thanks! Let's go, Kira!" Chris said, adrenaline flooding his veins.

As they retraced their steps into the forest, Chris felt a mix of excitement and nerves churning within him. This was the beginning of a new life, filled with magic and uncertainty.

"Just remember, Chris," Kira said, flapping her wings as they moved deeper into the woods, "we're in this together. We'll face whatever comes our way!"

"Together," Chris agreed, determination burning in his chest. "Let's show those goblins what we're made of!"

With that, they plunged into the forest, ready to forge their path in this magical realm, feeling the thrill of adventure pulse through the air around them.
