Capítulo 48: Rebirth(chapter 48)

A/N well guys, this is the beginning of the middle part of the story. Yes, I divided the story into the beginning, middle, and end, and yes, the beginning was 47 chapters. This means that the tier of product he can make has increased from 1-4 to 4-7, but that doesn't mean he would just up and create tier 7 products again and again. In fact, tier 7 products will only appear either at the middle of the middle part or the end.

[ Name: Phoenix-Warrior Serum ]

[ Description: An impossibility of a potion, a quasi-tier 7 potion, something that shouldn't be possible yet it is. A tier 6 potion that barely passed the limit of tier 6 but isn't quite a tier 7. The Phoenix-Warrior Serum is a potent and stable serum created by blending a sampe of the Extremis Compound with a vial of Essence of Unstable Super Soldier Serum. This powerful potion not only enhances the consumer's strength, durability, speed, agility, stamina, reflexes, senses, healing, and lifespan to superhuman levels but also grants them a perfect superhuman body. Additionally, it provides the unique ability to generate extreme fire and regenerate from any injuries as long as the heart isn't completely destroyed. There is also a chance of the user's heart giving out.

Chapter 48

Henry downed the Phoenix-Warrior Serum in one swift gulp. Almost immediately, he felt an intense, searing pain spread through his body. His vision blurred, and his muscles spasmed uncontrollably as the transformation began.

"Gah!" he screamed, his voice echoing through the empty bunker. The pain was unlike anything he had ever experienced, as if his entire body were on fire from the inside out. His skin began to blister and peel away, revealing raw, red muscle beneath. The agony intensified, and he could feel his muscles dissolving, burning away layer by layer.

Henry collapsed to the ground, convulsing violently. He tried to focus, to maintain some semblance of control, but the pain was too overwhelming. He screamed again, the sound raw and primal, as his muscles were stripped away, leaving only nerves, bones, and organs. He could see his hands, the flesh melting off them, exposing white bone.

"aghh" he managed to choke out between screams, but there was no one to hear him, no one to help, and he wouldn't want it anyways

His nerves were next, unravelling like frayed wires. Every nerve ending was alight with excruciating pain, and he screamed until his throat was raw, fainting from the intensity only to awaken moments later in even greater agony. His bones followed, breaking down and reforming in a continuous cycle of destruction and regeneration. Every moment felt like an eternity, and he fainted again and again, only to be jolted back to consciousness by the unrelenting pain.

Finally, his organs began to break down, with the exception of his brain and heart, which thudded rapidly in his chest. His vision swam as his body continued to burn away, reduced to little more than a quivering mass of flesh and bone.

After what felt like an eternity, the regeneration process began. New skin formed, smoother and more resilient than before. Muscles grew back, denser and stronger, wrapping around his bones with incredible precision. His nerves reconnected, more sensitive and efficient, enhancing every sensation. The pain began to recede, replaced by an odd tingling sensation as his body reconstructed itself.

Hours passed, each second dragging on as his body rebuilt itself. Finally, he lay on the floor of the bunker, his breathing heavy but the pain gone. He sat up slowly, feeling a surge of power coursing through him. Every movement was effortless, his muscles responding with incredible speed and strength. He stood up, slowly as his new joints cracked, he then stretched himself, causing more cracking sounds to be heard, he immediately noted that his senses heightened. He could hear the faint hum of the hideout's electrical system, smell the acrid scent of burnt flesh mixed with the earthy scent of the cave

He looked down at his hands, now perfectly regenerated, and clenched his fists, feeling the immense strength within them. He punched the wall experimentally, his fist crashing through the wave wall as if it were paper. "Unbelievable," he muttered to himself, marveling at his new strength. He took a deep breath, and the air tasted different, fresher and richer.

He focused his vision on a distant corner of the bunker, and everything came into sharp focus. His hearing picked up the distant sound of dripping water, and he realized he could now differentiate between the myriad sounds filling the space.

"Fascinating," he said, his voice steady and strong. "I've never felt anything like this." Henry tested his speed next, darting across the bunker in the blink of an eye. He moved with such speed and grace that he almost couldn't believe it was real. He leaped into the air, soaring higher than he ever had before, and landed with perfect precision.

"This feeling…." he whispered, awe evident in his voice. He walked back to the center of the hideout, every step a testament to his newfound power. "I feel… unstoppable."

He flexed his muscles, feeling the raw power coursing through them. He immediately stretched out his hand widely before facing his palm towards the ceiling. A torrent of hot flames, much hotter than any flames he had generated before, reached the sky. If he hadn't cut it off, he would have quickly melted the rocks on his ceiling. He didn't stop there though, as he then generated a small flicker of flames between his fingers, which grew and grew in the shape of a sphere, bouncing around in front of him. "All without activating my mana," he sighed to himself, feeling the raw power at his fingertips. "Good," he muttered to himself, with no emotion behind his voice or eyes. They were dim, in stark contrast to the construct of his brightly lit orange flames. He could generate fire, regenerate from any injury, and his body was now the epitome of perfection. The pain, the hours of unbearable agony, had all been worth it.

Henry looked around the hideout, the dim flickering lights casting eerie shadows. This place had been the site of his transformation, and he felt a strange sense of gratitude towards it. He had emerged from the ordeal stronger than ever, ready to face whatever challenges lay ahead.

"Hmm," he took one last deep breath, savoring the sensation of his enhanced senses. "This feels…good," he chuckled softly, almost inaudibly at that. The humiliating defeat he received just moments ago was already forgotten as he picked up Terry, much to the displeasure of the turtle. When the darn turtle bit him, he felt nothing, much to Terry's frustration, as Henry laughed before sitting down at his monitors. "Alright Kai, let's do some searching," he said with a laugh as Kai's voice sounded. {Where should we begin, sir?} Kai asked as Henry just smiled, before he started typing away. It only took him a second to notice some more changes in his body.

"My thoughts are faster?" he said to himself, and indeed they were. Not only were his thoughts faster, but he could remember things in even more detail. "Just like Limitless," he chuckled at the notion, although the Limitless Potion was more potent. He still noticed the changes. Not only could he recall faster, but he could retain faster, think faster, which made him all the happier as he continued to look through all the data he had extracted from SHIELD during the first time he was high on Limitless. This led him to discover, or rediscover, an interesting topic that SHIELD wanted to stay dead. The topic was a group of organizations known as HYDRA, which in the Second World War, during Captain America's time, was seemingly defeated by Captain America. The reason why this interested him was simple.

A/N well, there it is, a potion with a permanent effect. And let me say it again, only those potions above tier 6 have permanent effects, unless there is a skill that makes his products more permanent, which there is. But even though I am 15+ chapters ahead of you, I still haven't unlocked it. So yeah, it's going to be a while before it appears.
