Capítulo 14: Like Mother Like Daughter.
The twilight had settled in when they reached home. Along the path, he had to spend considerable brain power to answer her subsequent questions. The question was such that he had anticipated but had not readied an answer to.
The question was, "Where did you get a Healing Potion from? When I washed your clothes, I didn't find anything in the pockets and you didn't have anything else to store your belongings."
And his improvised answer was, "Um... Yes... You're right." Clearing his throat, he continued, "You see... I have a... magic...?"
"What magic?" a quizzical tilt, trying to make sense of his words.
"A magic called..." He searched in his memories; for anything, then his eyes lit up, "Spatial Magic!"
"Spatial Magic?"
"Yes. This magic allows me to form a small dimension in any item and in that dimension, I can store anything. I call it Inventory." He proudly said, as if he could really do that.
"Wow!" A radiant smile, contagious and illuminating, as if the very essence of joy had found a home on her lips, "That sounds so convenient. What else can you store inside the Inventory? Can you store a house? Is there a limit on how much can be stored? Does the size of the things matter? Are you able to store living beings inside? How much Mana does this magic require? What are the limitations of this magic? I don't know much about magic. So, can a novice like me learn it? Can you teach me?"
He looked at her with mouth opening and closing like a fish, she did not allow him to speak even a word throughout her bombardment of questions.
'Like mother like daughter.' He exhaled, shaking his head.
"No, I can't teach you this magic." He refused, 'Because I also don't know it.'
"Why?~" She whined like Tiara.
"Nope."
Her hands put the pitchers on the ground then clasped his unoccupied hand, eyes watery, she implored meekly, "Please~ teach me."
'Too cute.' She was blindingly adorable. She was so adorable that people would commit crimes for her. And he could not resist her; resistance was futile.
"Find, I'll think about it." He hesitatingly said.
"Yay~" In her exultation, she pulled his head into her breasts. Those large breasts truly felt incredible. The way she smothered him in excitement made the little Darius rise in attention.
Eventually, she composed herself allowing the tomato-red Darius to breathe. He sighed but had also wished for it to last longer.
As they continued on their path, he asked the system, 'Is there any such magic like Spatial magic that can make storage spaces in things like a ring or something?"
[Of course. You can purchase a storage ring in the System Shop after reaching Level 15 or learn Spatial Magic at Level 25 after unlocking the class Astro Mage.]
'What!? This is gonna take too long, System.' He shouted in his mind, 'What am I supposed to do until then? I won't be able to postpone the topic for that long! She'll call me a liar with no integrity.'
[You can also purchase a low-ranked Space Ring. It can only hold 10 items that are half of the user's size.]
'Why did you not tell me this before!?' He thought in irritation.
[It's fun messing with you.]
'Fuck you, System.'
[Fuck you too, Host.]
'Anyways, what's the price?'
[1000 ST.]
'That's expensive!'
[Of course it is.]
'Can you give me a discount?'
[No.]
'Pretty please?'
[No.]
'Fine.' He paused before continuing, 'Tell me how can I earn ST.'
[Completing Quests, conquering women and earning Accolades.]
'How do I earn accolades?'
[By doing something unique.]
'Like?'
[That is for you to find out.]
'Why can't you just tell me, you useless system?'
[You won't grow if I spoon-feed you information. I already gave you hints, now you have to figure it out. I have known other hosts of systems that are much more powerful than me. Those hosts died because they were over reliant on their systems. It was as if their mind had turned off after acquiring a system. Thus, I want you to grow strong without being much reliant on me, just as you had grown strong in your previous life.]
Darius was left speechless for the rest of the journey to Fiona's house. He had been fully engrossed in his thoughts.

"We're home, Tia." Fiona announced. She and Darius placed the pitchers in the kitchen area. This amount of water would last them two days.
"Why are you late?" Tiara asked, cleaning her bow and dagger.
"We found Goblins near the path, after killing them we were attacked by Hell Wolves." Fiona explained, sitting down on the chair. Tiara brought two cups of water for them both, placing them in the table.
From the aroma in the room, she also seemed to have prepared dinner. She joined them on the table, curiously inquiring, "Why would Hell Wolves attack you? That path is really far from their territory."
"Well, it seemed they were looking for their lost cub who was butchered by those Goblins we killed." Fiona took large gulps from the cup, before sighing in relief.
She covered wholly in sweat. Her dress was damp. Darius himself wasn't any different, might have sweated even more than her from the way his clothes stuck to his body.
Darius and Fiona washed their hands while Tiara prepared the table. While they were having dinner, Fiona told Tiara about the bravery of Darius.
And laughed at how he forced her to drink a potion because of small scratch. In his defense, that small scratch bled like a river.
Furthermore, she even told her about his "Spatial Magic."
Tiara's attention remained undiverted throughout the story. She became more and more amazed as she listened more.
Her face completely overtaken by exhilaration, she asked, "You can use magic!?"
Darius had a very bad premonition, "Yes?"
"Teach me!" She almost climbed the table in her excitement.
He exhaled for the third time that day, 'Like mother like daughter.'
Capítulo 15: How to get rid of a wild Tiara.
Fiona had gone to wash dishes, leaving Darius and Tiara in each other's company. Tiara was smiling widely, excited to know that Darius knew magic.
Years ago, when she first accompanied her mother on the hunt and saw a monster utilize magic. She had decided to learn magic no matter what, asking her mother to teach her.
Unfortunately, Fiona herself didn't know any magic causing her dream to be put on hold for the coming years.
Now that a real mage was here, she ceaselessly asked, "Can you teach me magic, now?"
"Tiara," Darius was starting to get annoyed, "I have told you that I cannot teach you right now. Give me some time to think about it."
"Teach me, please~" She childishly requested.
"I need some time, Tiara. Please understand. If I knew--" He stopped, almost letting the cat out of the bag.
However, Tiara was a curious girl. When something caught her eye, she would not stop at anything to know more about it.
"Teach me!" She demanded, shaking his shoulder in irritation.
"Tiara!" He shouted standing up abruptly, making her flinch.
Her eyes were watery and big. She almost looked to be on the verge of crying. Now he felt guilty, he should not have seen her, "I'm sorry. I shouted I shouldn't have."
He inhaled deeply calming himself, "Fine then. I'll tell you something about magic."
His words were exhilarating, she bounced on her toes holding his hand, "Really?"
'Look at her. So happy like she wasn't sad a second ago.' He sighed for the nth time today, 'Women are mysterious.'
He had a plan for agreeing to her. A plan that would give him a few days of peace to design further. He could not just keep lying to them.
Before him there were two paths; continue his lies and risk getting caught which was inevitable, or turn lie into truth by learning magic.
The first option was not even in consideration, his consciousness would not allow him to betray them like this, especially the ones who did so much to help.
And the second option was doable, he had a system. He only needed a few days to achieve this plan. Which could be procured with the plan he just concocted.
'Time for some bullshit.' He cleared his throat.
"Tiara," He said to acquire her attention, which already remained on him unbroken. "Now I'll teach you the fundamentals of magic.'
"Okay!" She said, excitedly.
He walked slowly with her behind him like a lost puppy, "Magic is abstract." True. According to the novels and mangas.
"To learn magic one has to know nature closely." He peeked at her, and seeing that she was listening intently, he continued in his wise visage, "Every person has potential for magic. The potential could either be high or low. And how far a person can master magic depends on their talent and hard work."
All these words were chosen carefully by him. Abstract enough to trick the listener into thinking that it was true. He, although, was not a mage but to the knowledge of the previous Darius, it could be true.
"Before teaching you any magic spells," He climbed the stairs, knowing that she was behind him. "I need to know your potential so that I can decide what kind of magic is suitable for you."
Tiara squealed, "Quickly! Check my potential."
Her reaction caused the evil, in the depths of his mind, to surface, 'She will do anything. Taking advantage of her is really easy.'
He quickly shook his head, 'Bad thoughts. Go away.'
He looked at her bouncing around with joy flowing through her veins instead of, blood.
"Now, now, calm your horses." He placated, "I do not have the instruments to check your potential. So, I can not do it right now."
"Aww~" She sulked pretty quickly.
'Cute.'
"That is why I need a few days to prepare an ancient ritual that can help me check your potential." He added, with a condescending nose tilted upwards.
"Yay~" She extended her fist up.
"However," He had reached Tiara's and Fiona's shared room and went inside with her behind, "You cannot disturb me during the preparation. In the meantime, I'll teach you how to sense Mana."
He looked outside the window, seeing two moons further apart, at a low altitude. Estimating the time 20:30.
"Now lie down." He pointed to the bed, with his other arm behind him like a military instructor.
Tiara hastily lay and asked, "Why do I have to lie down?"
"The technique I am going to teach requires the person to be in a relaxed state in both body and mind." Wisely, he bullshitted. "Close your eyes."
"Okay." Her eyes quickly shut.
"Now relax your mind." His voice became soft and soothing, like a mother's caress. "Focus your eyes on your crown and feel the energy."
She did as told. Her brain felt ticklish but calming and a while later, her body relaxed on its own.
"Good." His voice sounded ghostly, barely reaching her ears, "Keep your focus there. Feel the energy going around your mind, then down your spine to your core."
A while later, he heard her light snores. He did a victory pose and slowly let himself out of the door.
"Heh." He flicked his hair commenting, "I'm a genius."
