Capítulo 13: Full Moon Approaching
The full moon was approaching in a week. That made Scott go more and more out of control. because of this Amelia was avoiding him and spending more and more time with Jackson. He was getting ruder and more aggressive which also made Zephyr keep his distance.
*At the lacrosse pitch
Stiles and Zephyr were sitting side by side and putting on their gear while talking.
"where have you been, dude. Its like you're deliberately avoiding us these days." Stiles asked
"Not you, just Scott. I have a feeling that if I keep hanging around him for long I'm gonna kick his ass one of these days." Zephyr replied
"you know he doesn't mean it, its the full moon approaching."
"I know, still doesn't make it any less annoying. Speaking of which where is he?"
"I sent him to ask something from Lydia." Stiles replied with a smile
At that moment Scott returned and sat down besides them.
"So what did she say?" Stiles asked
"Huh?" Scott looked confused
"What did Lydia say? Does she like me?'
"Oh. Yeah she likes you. In fact, she's totally into you." Scott said with a smirk and then left.
Stiles was ecstatic until Zephyr put his hands on his shoulder
"Stiles, I can smell Lydia from basically all over his body."
This made Stiles' smile disappear a bit before before he said " well maybe its something else. maybe she was like- about to fall and he caught her."
"Maybe." Zephyr said while letting stiles go, but he knew that it wasn't the truth and he knew that deep stiles knew it too.
They started the practice and Scott was still being a douche the whole time.
'I know its the moon, but man do I wanna punch this guy.'
It was Zephyr's turn to score a goal. He quickly sidestepped the defenders and shot the ball and it went into the goal while going directly through Danny's legs. After him was Scott. Unlike him, Scott charged straight through the defenders, knocking them both to the ground and then tackled Danny. Danny fell to the ground and blood started coming out of his nose. Everyone rushed to him except for stiles who went straight to Scott and said
"what the hell dude?" said stiles
"What?"
"Why did you hit Danny? Everybody loves Danny, now everybody's gonna hate you."
"I don't care." Scott said and left.
Stiles went back to where everybody gathered around Danny. Lydia also came running towards them.
"Oh my god is he ok?" she asked but nobody answered her
Instead Jackson said "Your Lip Gloss is smudged."
Lydia took out a mirror and started fixing it and then said "I wonder how that happened."
"Yeah, I wonder." Jackson narrowed his eyes in suspicion.
Meanwhile Stiles who heard this exchange looked devastated. Zephyr approached stiles and patted him on the shoulder.
"So you wanna join me in kicking his ass?" Zephyr asked with a smirk.
"I'm tempted."
They started talking while walking back to the changing rooms.
*Later
It was the last class of the day. Allison was waiting for the class to get over so that she could meet Zephyr. Last few days had been amazing. Although she was still uncomfortable around her family, Zephyr convinced her that the secret they kept was for her safety. She was looking at the clock when she felt someone watching her. She saw that Scott was staring at her from across the classroom. She felt a bit uncomfortable. Then she remembered Amelia talking about how Scott was acting weird. Zephyr told Allison that it was because of the full moon coming up.
The class ended and teacher and everyone else left. Allison was about to leave too but when she turned around she saw Scott standing in her way she tried to leave from the side but he took a step and got in her way again.
"I want to talk." He said in a low voice that sounded like a growl.
"I have to go meet Zeph." she said while adjusting the books inside her bag and searching for something.
"It'll take just a second." he replied, showing no signs of getting out of the the way.
"Fine, make it fast."
"I want to talk about that night, when we were trapped in the school because of the killer. Lydia already thanked me for protecting you guys but you didn't." He said with a dark smile, stepping forward.
Allison took a step back and said "What protecting? From what I know you were thrashed by the alpha. I already thanked Zephyr who was actually the one who saved us and you."
Hearing this Scott snarled and reached out towards her but at this moment Allison took out her hand from the bag and shot him with a taser. Scott fell down on the floor electricity flowed through him. Allison tried to run towards the door but Scott, whose anger reached a new level quickly recovered and got up. He ran and got between her and the door. His eyes glowed yellow and claws came out of his fingers. he slashed towards Allison who closed her eyes and flinched but the claws never reached her.
She opened her eyes to see Zephyr holding Scott's arm. His face was calm but his eyes were filled with anger. he pulled Scott's arm and threw him away. Scott flew across the classroom and crashed into the wall. Scott quickly got up and started making his way towards them but stopped short when he saw Zephyr's eyes glowing purple. those eyes stopped him in his tracks. He just stared at Zephyr for a second before he just left while breathing heavily in anger.
Zephyr wanted to got after him and beat some sense into him but before that he turned around and made his way to Allison.
"You okay? You're not hurt are you?" He said Looking all over her body for injuries
"No, I'm alright. Thanks." She said and then kissed him.
They kissed for a few seconds before Zephyr broke the kiss and said "Could you wait for some time, I just gotta go and do some chores."
"What?" she asked
"Oh, you know. Get some groceries, pick up the dry cleaning, rip Scott's heart out and feed it to him." He said in anger
"No, its alright. you don't have to, I'm alright and its just the full moon."
"I don't care if its full moon. he tried to hurt you."
"But I'm alright. so lets just forget about it and think what we will do today."
Zephyr took a deep breathe to calm his anger and after some time said "Alright."
"Should we watch a movie today?"
"Alright, how about star wars?" he asked
"How about notebook?"
"alright lets meet in the middle and watch the greatest trilogy of all time 'Lord of the Rings'"
While Zephyr talked to Allison he was still thinking about what to do with Scott. Although he really did want to rip out Scott's heart and feed it to him, he stopped for Allison's sake. He decided that if Scott acted up once again he would teach him the consequences of his actions.
