Capítulo 4: Doflamingo Showdown
"Young Master!!" two voices exclaimed.
Turning his head, Rick watched as two severed heads landed back on their respective bodies. One was a large, hulking man with giant front teeth and dressed in a large, yellow parka, while the other was a young woman with dark hair that was wearing goggles and what looked to be a magenta maid's outfit. It was Buffalo and Baby 5 respectively of the Donquixote Pirates.
"Oh shit, I almost forgot that you guys were here!" the scientist exclaimed. "Hah you have some cool powers, but you both totally jobbed to the Straw Hats and Law."
The two pirates had been dispatched by their captain to investigate the uprising against Caesar Clown on Punk Hazard, although they had easily been defeated by the newly-formed alliance between Trafalgar Law and the Straw Hat Pirates, with their heads being severed and sent adrift in the ocean by Law's incredible devil fruit power. Enraged, Donquixote Doflamingo himself had arrived at Punk Hazard in search of the upstart rookies, but instead found himself faced with a battleship worth of marines and their vice admiral leader.
Smoker watched in shock as the pink-clad warlord touched down on the island from above, with many of his men being knocked unconscious by the conqueror's haki that the powerful king emitted. Those who were still standing drew their weapons, some guns and some swords, and pointed them nervously at the towering blonde man.
"He's knocking out our comrades!!" some of the soldiers yelled, charging at the warlord before their commander could warn them to stand down.
"Law I can understand, but Straw Hat? He's just a normal pirate!" Doflamingo hissed at Smoker with an angry grin as he raised his arm and swiped downwards. As if cut with invisible blades, some of the marines screamed in pain as streaks of blood were slashed across their bodies and their weapons were chopped up into bits. "You let them get away! Where are they!?"
As if tugging on invisible strings, the pink-clad man knocked out dozens of soldiers as he shredded them with his powers, before advancing towards Smoker. Rick, meanwhile, was getting extremely hyped.
"Shiiiiiitttt its Doffy himself!" the scientist cheered as he piped up from behind the vice admiral. "Easily within the top 10 One Piece villains. He's number 4 on my list, as a matter of fact. Yo, yo, heavenly demon! M-my name is Rick, I'm a big fan!"
"Who the hell is this bozo?" Doflamingo spat, before turning back to Smoker. "Where did those brats go!? What direction did they leave in?"
"I have no idea, I messed up and let them get away," Smoker shrugged. "Now leave my men alone. You could always ask Vice Admiral Virgo if you want to know more…"
"You bastard," Doffy laughed angrily as a vein bulged in his forehead while he raised an arm. "You know he's gone. Now tell me where Law and Straw Hat we—
"Oh yeah, Smoker is actually being totally cool here and covering Law and Luffy's escape," Rick interjected as he rounded the two other men. "Yeah sorry, Doffy, but you might as well turn around and head back to Dressrosa, because that's where they're about to go."
"Who are you, and why do you seem to know so much?" the warlord asked as he held up his hand, causing Rick to cough and clutch his neck.
"Ughhhh awe cool, Doflamingo is choking me out with his string powers!" Rick coughed upon feeling a nearly-invisible string wrap around his neck and pull tightly. "This is great, I've always wanted to fight a One Piece villain for real. Hold on, let me get ready."
Still struggling to breathe, the scientist brought his hand, which was still clad in the seastone glove, to his mouth and licked it. Closer to fainting, Rick took a deep gasp as the string choking him suddenly let go, where he wiped his mouth while panting, a wide grin on his face.
"What's this?" Doffy asked as he felt his string fall away harmlessly.
"The molecular converter that I had installed in my tongue took a sample of my glove here, and then I had my robotic body augmentations coat my epidermis in a thin layer of seatone," Rick explained as he raised a fist. "It's kind of like haki that I never have to turn off! Here, watch this! Sanchez-Sanchez pistol!"
Throwing a punch, the scientist hit Doflamingo square in his exposed chest, where while the blow itself didn't hurt, the warlord could immediately feel himself weakening as if he were wearing seastone cuffs.
"What the hell? What kind of power is this?" Doflamingo asked in shock, before jumping back and swinging his leg at Rick, hitting him in the chin with his foot and sending him flying backwards.
Seizing the opportunity, Smoker launched his fist at the heavenly demon, but the warlord easily dodged and sent a slash of haki-infused string against the vice admiral, shredding into his chest and drawing blood.
"Hardcore, man," Rick commented as he rose back to his feet with his jaw crooked, before his body augmentations repaired itself. "I only have about 2 more spare jaw bones left in me, so I'd better watch out. Dang, haki users really don't pull punches in this universe, it makes me respect jobbers a whole lot more for taking hits that can break bones."
"Arg, all of you, get back!" Smoker demanded of his men who were still standing, coughing blood while turning to Rick. "I don't know who you are, but you seem to have a pretty good idea of what's going on. If you can see the future, I don't suppose I survive this engagement?"
"Nah, he totally kicks your ass," Rick chuckled. "He almost kills you in fact, until an old friend of yours shows up. I don't want to spoil too much, but let's just say he's a pretty cool guy."
"What? Who do—Kuzan?" Smoker asked as he prepared to counterattack. "Well, I don't know whose side you're on, but I'd appreciate it if you'd stay out of my way."
"Relax, Smokey, I'll even help you out until your friend arrives," the scientist promised as he reached into his lab coat. "Let's see…oh cool, I packed my gun that shoots ogres."
As Doflamingo approached both men with the intent to kill, he watched as the strange, spiky-haired old man pointed a distinctly-green gun at him and fired. Imbuing his chest with armament haki, expecting to tank a bullet, he instead watched as a low-speed blob plopped out of the gun's muzzle and splattered to the ground. Within seconds, however, the blob rapidly grew in size, taking a humanoid shape as it formed into the profile of a tall, stout man. Turning green, the resulting creature wasn't quite Human, where strange, narrow ears sprouted from its bald head.
"Hey…this isn't my swamp!" the creature spoke in confusion, before looking towards Doflamingo and smirking sarcastically. "Whoa, I wonder what your favorite color is."
"WHAT THE HELL IS THAT!?" the marines yelled in shock at gazing upon Shrek.
Both Smoker and Doflamingo were speechless, while Rick proudly looked upon the beloved animated ogre. One of his many inventions, the "gun that shoots ogres" was literally just that. A gun that would shoot a batch of stem cells that would quickly grow into a living clone of Shrek.
"Shrek, that pink man has Fiona!" Rick yelled, prompting the ogre to turn towards the warlord angrily.
"You have my wife?" he asked in his Scottish accent.
"What…what kind of power is this!?" Doflamingo growled. "Stop screwing around!!"
