She didn't get to go to Isca. But she did ride home to Nevremia triumphantly leading a band of criminals in shackles behind her.

Of course, there weren't nearly enough of them to be the full force of their rebellion. That meant these were disposable soldiers that the rebellion decided were worth losing. They likely had limited information, and no one would care if they died.

The latter reason is why she didn't simply parade them through the streets.

The men were hidden in a remote prison in the forest, and left with the very burly interrogators.

She did make certain to visibly ride through the capitol once she made it there, though. Just so they knew they'd tried and failed to hurt her at all. Or any of her men.

And now, of course, was the waiting time.
