William Cole stared in the direction Ruth Dawn had left, lost in thought.
"Stop staring, she's gone."
Minnie Wright laughed, shaking her head as she held up her bowl of chicken soup, "Let's eat, this soup is not so bad."
After dinner, Minnie made a call, instructing a secretary to pack up the remaining chicken soup at Thirteen Hall and send it to Ruth.
William, seeing this, couldn't help but find it strange. "Is there a need to be so polite?"
"Going as far as personally delivering the soup to Ruth?"
Minnie arranged the documents, and smiled naturally, "The soup was originally meant for her. I saw her at the hospital yesterday."
"She was pale and thin, not at all how a pregnant woman should look."
"She's carrying a child after all, why are you still making her work this hard?"
"Based on the timing, she should be about two months into her pregnancy."
"In a month or two, she should be focusing on nurturing the fetus and reducing her stress."
