When William Cole woke up again, the first thing he saw was the hospital ceiling.

The light was a bit dazzling.

William instinctively lifted his hand to shield his forehead.

"You're awake."

A cool voice announced, "The doctor said you're fine. You're really lucky!"

"That heavy truck hit you, the driver's cab totally crushed."

"And yet, you're unscathed!"

William looked in the direction of the voice.

Ruth Dawn was sitting there, peeling an apple.

"Honey, why are you here?" William felt a bit of a headache.

Ruth shot a glance at him irritably, "So you've forgotten the accident, eh? You probably also forgot that the accident occurred while you were on a date with Minnie Wright, right?"

"The accident—"

William shuddered as he vividly remembered the moment when the heavy truck barreled down at him, leaving him no chance to escape.
