For a while, Shye was on edge, until he realized that the creatures were simply staring at him without any ill intent.

The pressure he felt from them was more or less the same as that of the Abyssal Roach, meaning that they were all at least (B) ranked creatures.

Hence, he couldn't help but wonder why they didn't take action.

After all, if they lived in the chasm, it meant that they could traverse it as they pleased.

Well, he wasn't about to complain. He would choose a peaceful descent over a violent one any day.

'At least I could focus on landing…'

Only…he never expected that he didn't have to focus on "landing".

Because there was no land.

After a good five minutes of falling, Shye finally caught a glimpse of the abyssal chasm's bottom.

In place of solid ground was…a vast expanse of water, and since there was no sunlight, the sea was as black as night.
