Nazmi wanted to ask him if he was serious, but as she looked back into those unwavering golden eyes… she could tell he was serious.

Not just serious, but confident. There wasn't a hint of doubt behind his gaze. Prince Samir was going to attack the entirety of the wizard council and steal their grimoires, and he wasn't worried in the slightest.

"…So you plan on using me to get inside?" Nazmi asked after several beats of stunned silence.

"More or less," he answered nonchalantly. "It works for you, too, because I decided on some adjustments for the collar that you will probably like."

Nazmi fought the urge to deny his offer outright, but the longer she thought about the twin's betrayal, the less she saw reasons to say no.
