Capítulo 138: False Ally (1)

Tobias pushed himself off the wall he was leaning on upon seeing Hazel returning with his father. He had a lot to think about while Hazel was away and it mostly concerned his mother standing not far away from him.

They did not speak to each other while they waited for their respective partners. Tobias had noticed his mother continuously staring in the direction Hazel walked with his father and occasionally picking at her nails. 

The small action wasn't something he saw her do often as she would call it unladylike so it confused him and started the suspicion that she had more to do with Hazel's missing things. 

Tobias thought of questioning her as they stood alone but held back as he needed to speak with Hazel first. If it was his mother, did Hazel already know? Was she keeping it a secret from him? Why? Were they not to be honest?
