"We've stood up here long enough. Hazel, it's time to take a walk around to speak with the guests and let them celebrate your engagement to the prince. It will be over soon and we'll make our way around the ballroom to come back here," Tabitha said, interrupting the conversation between Tobias and Hazel.
"We'll go together," Tobias said, reaching for Hazel's hand without thinking, but he stopped himself as Hazel moved her hand.
Tabitha looked at Hazel, pleased with her listening unlike her son. "Put some space between you. You are not yet married. Jeffrey," Tabitha said, letting her husband know that she was ready.
"What is it with not getting to hold hands? Are we not to show affection?" Hazel asked Tobias.
