KARA'S POV

It was the night after I'd returned to the Avon estate with Aldric from David's cabin. Duke Avon had given me an update on the situation concerning my kidnappers and what was going to happen now. 

With Aldric, Isaac and I only remaining in the room we had our final 'secret' conversation as I would be leaving the following morning and returning to the castle.

"Still I can't believe he tried to take credit for Aldric's work. He's the one who did most of the mystery-solving at the restaurant. He's the one who figured out you were probably kidnapped and found your bracelets which he knew would lead to where you were if we used the dogs. Even in his letter to Viktor.
