Finally out, Helen took a deep breath. Staying in the underground research base with a malfunctioning ventilation system was simply suffocating. Thankfully Qiao Ya came and provided much needed aid.

Upon reaching her vehicle, Helen discovered that one of the cars had been taken by Gu Fan. The remaining cars had punctured tires and were really unusable, leaving Helen absolutely furious.

When Helen returned to the warehouse, Dong Ni and the others had crawled out of the elevator. Many of them were injured, making their placement a problematic issue.

Qiao Ya counted them: there were actually eight people unable to move from injuries. Gu Fan, it seems, had escaped without a scratch. Qiao Ya didn't say anything, but he could sense Helen's displeasure.

Dong Ni collapsed onto the ground, panting heavily: "That bastard Gu Fan. If I catch him, I won't let him off easily."
