Capítulo 18: Chapter 18: Titan's Inheritance

"Enlargement Spell? Seems more like a comedic spell to me." Muria glanced at the spellbook in his hand, tossing it aside. It was swiftly caught by a jittery, exceptionally obedient invisible servant and restored to its original place on the bookshelf.

The Enlargement Spell, a one-Ring spell, simply boosts the size and strength of a humanoid creature. However, it's obvious that, when used on Muria's true form, it would be hundred percent immune, and to use it on Muria's humanoid form? What's the point of that? It would take far less effort to just revert to his true form.

"Lots of low-level spells don't even need to be learned. Learning them is just a waste of time. I have no idea what went through the minds of the mages who created them." Muria examined a string of hovering spellbooks, carefully considering their effects.

"What on earth is this? Tongue of Tentacles, turn your tongue into tentacles." Muria's face scrunched up in disgust. "I bet that the mage who created this spell was an absolute pervert."

"Healing Light Wounds. With lightweight injuries, my recovery time would be quicker than the time it took to cast this spell. No need to learn it."

"Accelerated Swimming. Hah! I am a man capable of catching fish underwater."

"Reduction Spell. Pssh! I'm small enough as it is."

"Seasickness Resistance, you know, you kind of need a boat for that."

"Maybe I'll stop with the first-Ring spells. There are hardly any truly useful ones, most of them are auxiliary spells. The offensive ones are way too weak to harm a baby dragon; the spells supported by my bloodline are the only ones worth checking out."

"The second-Circle spells are good, but why are there still tentacle-related spells? Sharp-toothed Tentacles, extends a single tentacle from your hand, then splits into three smaller ones. Each little tentacle is even furnished with a tooth-filled mouth." Muria felt a wave of nausea, "This is such a bizarre spell, no physically sound mage would ever learn it!"

Muria scrutinized and sorted, tossing aside the chronic spellbooks or the ones that he deemed too outlandish. He only chose those that he found interesting...

"Hmm!" Muria stretched his back, "I've almost depleted my mental energy. I've only managed to craft five Second-Circle spells, I barely have enough mental energy left to work with."

Unaware, Muria spoke words that would normally make an ordinary Silver-Rank mage want to spit blood. Unlike most mages, he didn't spend time carefully contemplating before crafting spell models. He directly chose to exhaust large amounts of mental energy in exchange for practice.

Typical human mages are always delicate. Normally, they would memorize the spell model completely, then ruminate for half a month or so before attempting to craft it in one try. The worst-case scenario being that they would succeed within three attempts.

Then there was Muria. He could botch up the crafting of even a zero-level trick more than ten times in a row, let alone a Second-Circle spell that was two grades of difficulty higher. The fact that he only failed several times before successfully crafting the Four-Ring shape-shifting spell proved nothing but pure luck.

Compared to the mental energy required to craft a successful spell model, the mental energy lost due to unsuccessful attempts accounted for over ninety-five percent of Muria's total mental energy. This was the price he paid for trying to craft spell models multiple times in a short time. The mental energy could be easily regained with a good night's sleep.

"This world is really so unfair," Muria lamented. He was no longer completely oblivious to Elasia. In the Golden Dragon Mother's library, he could learn anything he wanted to know.

"Fortunately, I'm not on the side that mourns the unfairness of the world." After a couple of sighs, Muria shifted his focus. Now, his entire energy was directed towards enhancing his combat power.

As for the growth of power, Muria felt that he didn't need to stress over it. He could become stronger even by just sleeping, so why waste energy thinking about it? All he needed to ponder upon was how to effectively utilize his existing power to convert it into real fighting strength.

"Fully utilize my mental power to improve my casting ability, which I'm already doing. But now I have no way to continue to build spell models." Muria thought carefully, "Whether it's the Golden Dragon or Titan, their spellcasting ability is merely a decoration to their fame. What truly made them world-renowned was their melee fighting ability."

"So, I should focus on improving my own hand-to-hand combat skills." Muria nodded to himself in agreement, "The thought of real fist-to-flesh fighting is quite thrilling, although it's likely to get me hurt."

"When it comes to melee combat, the required knowledge is all in the Titan heritage memory." Muria skimmed through the heritage memory of the Titan race in his mind, his lips twitching slightly. He had received the heritage memory a while ago, but he hadn't had the chance, or rather, the subconscious inclination, to take a closer look. Now that he took the time to delve into it, it left him breathless.

"Should I be praising them for truly being a world-renowned legendary warrior race? Besides the basic Titan language, Giant language, and Common language provided in the initial heritage, everything else is related to combat."

"The Titan heritage I received during the second phase was purely combat-related knowledge. Let's see what they have. 'Weapon selection and Utilization,' 'Double-edged Battle Axe Technique,' 'How to Accurately Throw a Spear,' 'Basic Hammer Skills'..."

As he looked at the long list of different weapon usage skills, Muria's head started to spin. His patriarchal tribe seemed to be quite insane; all the heritage knowledge of the Titan tribe in his mind, excluding basic language skills, was now only about combat.

"Looking at my body type…" Muria considered his soft and tenderive body sporting baby fat. Somewhat speechless, he found it less than ideal for combat, "And moreover, to utilize this combat knowledge, I need proper weapons at the bare minimum."

"So, does this mean I'm left with no choice but to use my fists for melee combat?" Amid a burst of light, Muria reverted to his true form, lifting his hefty, chubby fist that was bigger than a casserole dish.

"What best suits my current situation is still the 'Combat Techniques' that make up the majority of the Titan heritage."

Muria scratched her head, looking at the white robe he was wearing, and murmured softly, "This robe can adjust its size with my body; it should be fine to wear it in battle, right?"

"Whatever, I'll rest for a while and find some ferocious wild beasts to test the Titan's combat techniques." Not even bothering to go back to her own room, Muria walks out of the library and finds a random-looking room. She walks in and transforms into a human, flopping straight onto the bed and falling asleep.

Now, Muria has turned her own room into an evil dragon breeding room. Sleeping there, she can't rest at ease because the evil dragon cubs could attack her at any time.

"Hmm, it smells quite nice." Muria sniffed the faint fragrance of the blanket, gradually dozed off, "I wonder if that's the body scent of the dragon maid, or perhaps the residual scent of some perfume."

...

"Mia, stop it already, don't pinch anymore."

"She's so tender. I'll pinch her a little longer since she took over my bed, and I couldn't sleep."

"If Mr. Muria wakes up, you're doomed."

"What's there to fear? We serve the Golden Dragon, the queen of the benevolent dragons, not an evil dragon. At most, she can only give us some minor punishment."

"Even if it's a benevolent dragon, it is still a dragon, Mia..."

When Muria woke up in a daze, she heard two young-sounding female voices arguing in dragon language. Of course, what she felt strongest was the slender hand that kept massaging her face.

And then, the uncomfortable Muria fully opened her golden pupils. She stares blankly at the two dragon maids whose cheeks are covered with fine golden dragon scales.

One of them, a pretty young girl's shaped dragon maid, was crouching in front of him, leaning over him, extending one hand to knead his face, and another dragon maid behind her was anxiously pulling her, trying to stop her actions.

"Had enough pinching?" Muria asked expressionlessly. He hadn't completely woken up yet, feeling rather out of sorts.

"Hehe." Mia, a dragon maid who was absorbed in the excellent feel coming from her fingers and arguing with her companion, only then reacted and retracted her fingers with a grin.

"Mr. Muria, Mia didn't mean to offend you on purpose, please forgive her rashness," Said the dragon maid who had been pulling Mia, knelt down in fear, pleading for her partner.

"Mr. Muria, you took my bed first, I had nowhere to sleep, so I was just watching you. However, you looked too cute, so I couldn't help but pinch your face. You can't blame me for this."

"Your bed is not small; it's big enough to sleep two." Muria still looked indifferent. Perhaps because of consuming too much mental power, he was feeling very sleepy.

After uttering these words, he closed his eyes again, turned over, and fell deeply asleep, ignoring the two dragon maids.

Hearing this, the kneeling dragon maid and Mia look at each other in astonishment. Then, Mia, who had a very bold personality, cheered: "Michelle, let's sleep!"

The dragon maid kneeling on the ground still seemed at a loss. She didn't understand what had happened. In her mind, there was a strict hierarchy, and anyone who overstepped it would definitely be punished.

"Mia, what are you doing?" Dragon maid Michelle asks in shock, watching Mia undress quickly and crawl into the bed. Despite witnessing such situations many times, but this time was different.

"Going to bed." Mia responded as if it were only natural.

"But, but, Mr. Muria is still..."

"Mr. Muria already agreed." Mia said cheerfully.

... The golden sunlight filtered in through the crack in the curtains, into a room in the Crystal Castle where the maids lived.

"Ah ~ Ha ~" Muria yawned and opened his eyes. It was still dark in front of him, and he could smell a somewhat familiar scent. The soft touch on his face and the slight feeling of confinement his body told him that he was currently being held tightly in the arms of a woman with a nice figure.
