Amanda Smith slightly raised her head, her gaze as gentle as ever, seemingly perceptive of a disturbance in Evan Willow's emotions. She looked at him with a hint of confusion, "What's wrong?"
Evan Willow came over and sat next to her, "It's nothing."
She didn't want to talk, and he wouldn't force her.
Just being able to be by her side was perhaps good enough.

Samuel Johnson drove aimlessly for a long while, finally cooling down.
He stopped the car along the road—a road few travelled. Alone in his sports car along the stretch, he sat back with his head rested, feeling utterly exhausted.
He didn't understand his own heart, why thoughts of Amanda made him so upset, nor did he comprehend the longing to see her mixed with the fear of doing so.
His father had ordered him to leave tomorrow, and there was no avoiding it. Before he left, he badly wanted to see her again, yet he couldn't even find a reason to do so.
