His eyes lowered, both his brows and gaze carried a tender smile as he spoke softly, "I've missed you, Amanda."

Amanda Smith laughed over the phone, "Stop it, Evan. I have to work now."

"Hmm," he responded softly, "you're busy, I'll hang up now."

"Okay."

Pocketing his phone, Evan Willow lifted his gaze to the villa not far away. The warmth in his eyes dissipated the moment the call ended, his phoenix-like eyes tinged with chilliness, as if contemplating how to handle the person inside the villa.

"Young, Young Master," the assistant ahead cautiously turned his head and asked, "Should we follow the car up ahead?"

"No need," Evan Willow said dispassionately as he averted his gaze, "let's head back."

The domestic affairs of the Johnson family weren't his business. As long as Amanda Smith wasn't harmed, he had no intention of intervening.

"Yes."

The assistant acknowledged and turned the car around, heading back the way they came.
