Evan Willow found Amanda Smith in a heavy downpour.
The rain was pouring down so heavily that it almost blinded the sight; beneath the dense curtain of rain, a small figure sat alone on a bench. Her hair was drenched, and she sat there hugging her legs as if lacking a sense of security, her face buried in her knees, seemingly crying.
His heart ached fiercely in an instant. He opened the car door and despite his assistant's gasp of surprise, rushed into the rain. Then, he slowly came to a stop in front of her, calling her name softly as if afraid to startle her, "Amanda, are you okay?"
The immobile figure seemed to have heard his voice. She slowly lifted her face, where it was impossible to tell if it was rain or tears; all he could see were her reddened eyes, on the verge of tears.
