"Mom," he entered, opening the door and greeted his mother's somewhat surprised expression with a calm smile, "What were you two talking about?"

Mrs. Johnson saw her son come in, smiled, stepped forward, and took Samuel's hand, "Samuel, you're here? Come, you haven't had breakfast yet, have you? Mom brought you some food."

As she spoke, she pulled him over to the counter, where there was a thermos.

Samuel was led by his mother, and he glanced at Amanda sitting on the bed, her eyes downcast, her expression unclear, but she looked calm, or rather, indifferent.

He was still curious about what his mother had said to Amanda, but now it wasn't a good time to ask. He'd wait until everyone left and then directly ask Amanda.

Mrs. Johnson laid out the food one by one, holding a bowl of chicken soup she offered it to Samuel, "I made it fresh this morning, want to try?"

Samuel frowned, "What are you doing? Didn't I tell you to make her some nutritious soup?"
