Amanda Smith racked her brain but really couldn't come up with a satisfactory answer to pacify Samuel Johnson.
Her expression was frantic, and in Samuel's eyes, it looked as if she had a guilty conscience. He slightly furrowed his brows, staring at Amanda's shifty eyes. Her demeanor made Samuel somewhat uncertain.
Damn it, could she actually have found a boyfriend behind his back?
As the thought emerged in his mind, he couldn't bother to consider why Amanda finding a boyfriend should matter to him. Anger started bubbling up inside him.
He pinched her delicate chin, putting a bit of strength into his fingers, causing Amanda to hiss in pain, "It hurts! Let go!"
"Do you have a man on the side?"
Samuel asked icily.
"Huh?" Amanda was taken aback, the topic shifted so fast her mind hadn't caught up yet.
Seeing her not immediately retort, Samuel's eyes almost shot flames. He asked in a rough voice, "Is he better looking than me? Is he richer? Does he treat you better?"
