Capítulo 34: Ch 30 Subjugation

As the white tiger readied itself, Ichigo mirrored its intensity, locking gazes with it for a palpable moment where time seemed to stand still. Both vanished from sight, replaced by flashes of sparks as their clash reverberated through the air.

"Haha, as expected, this one is different than the others I've faced," Ichigo remarked, his voice tinged with admiration for his opponent's prowess.

With a swift kick to the abdomen, Ichigo followed through with a roundhouse and a flurry of slashes. Yet, despite his skillful assault, the nimble white tiger managed to evade some of his strikes with agile grace.

"Although it's fast, its strength has gradually decreased due to the damage it received from the red dragon," Ichigo noted, his words carrying a hint of excitement for the weary creature as their battle raged on.

After a grueling minute of relentless combat, both combatants momentarily retreated, panting heavily as they caught their breath.

"Huff...hufff. Whew, this is quite taxing. I'm expending a considerable amount of cursed energy," Ichiro remarked between breaths, a bead of sweat trickling down his brow. "Fortunately, I'm adept at recycling and absorbing it back."

As Ichiro gathered his resolve, he unleashed another wave of cursed energy in a fan shape, aiming to ensnare his agile foe. However, with a graceful maneuver, the white tiger evaded his attack with dazzling agility.

"Baku!" Ichiro called out, summoning his loyal companion to the fray. As Baku materialized, a legion of minions wielding bows appeared alongside him, ready to execute their master's command.

"Baku, execute!" Ichiro commanded, his voice resolute as Baku growled in acknowledgment. Without hesitation, the minions raised their bows skyward, unleashing a volley of projectiles towards their target, their movements synchronized as if guided by an unseen force.

As Ichiro's laughter echoed through the air, the white tiger watched with a mix of apprehension and defiance, realizing it was trapped in a deadly game orchestrated by its cunning adversary.

"Now then, white tiger, let's play under the rain," Ichiro taunted, his laughter tinged with a maniacal edge. "Of arrows."

With a sudden burst of movement, the white tiger contemplated escape but quickly discarded the notion, recognizing the futility in turning its back on the imminent threat before it. With a resigned growl, it prepared to meet Ichiro's challenge head-on.

"Hahahahah, a good choice indeed," Ichiro chuckled, his amusement evident as he faced down his formidable opponent. "Now then."

In an instant, the two adversaries disappeared from view, their clash of swords and claws ringing out once more amidst the torrential rain of arrows. With masterful precision, Ichiro deflected the falling arrows even as he engaged in combat, his movements fluid and deadly.

"To think you could fight under these circumstances, I commend you, white tiger," Ichiro acknowledged, a glimmer of respect in his voice. But his praise was short-lived as he seized the opportunity presented by a momentary distraction. With a swift motion, he grabbed an arrow and lodged it into the side of the white tiger, causing it to stagger.

Without hesitation, Ichiro followed up with a powerful kick to the tiger's chin, sending it soaring into the air. Before it could regain its bearings, he seized its tail, slamming it forcefully to the ground and impaling its exposed abdomen with a vicious cleaver strike.

As the rain of arrows ceased, Ichiro approached the wounded tiger, casually taking a seat beside it amidst the aftermath of their brutal encounter.

"Now then, do you think I'm worthy to be served?" Ichiro inquired, his tone a mix of confidence and curiosity, awaiting the white tiger's response amidst the lingering tension of their battle"

With a satisfied smile, Ichiro watched as the defeated white tiger dissolved into a black substance and merged seamlessly into his shadow.

"Now then, I guess that's it for today," Ichiro mused to himself, feeling the weight of fatigue settling upon him. "I should continue next time since I'm a bit tired."

As Ichiro made his way home, the weariness of battle lingered in his bones. Upon entering the living room, he encountered Kyle, who greeted him warmly and extended an invitation to watch television together. Politely declining, Ichiro expressed his desire to retire to his room for some much-needed rest. With a nod of understanding, he bid Kyle goodnight and retreated to his sanctuary.

The next morning, as Ichiro sat at the dining table, Kyle couldn't help but notice the exhaustion etched upon his friend's face.

"Morning, Ichiro. You look tired," Kyle remarked, concern evident in his voice.

Ichiro's response was a vague murmur, his mind still fogged by the remnants of sleep.

"It must be tough exorcising curse spirits, huh?" Kyle continued, his curiosity piqued by Ichiro's weary demeanor.

"Huh? Oh, uh... yeah," Ichiro replied, momentarily flustered by the reminder of his clandestine activities. "Haha, I suppose it can be."

As Ichiro mentally cursed himself for the slip-up, Kyle merely chuckled and offered him a plate of food.

"Haha, I see. Well, eat up," Kyle said, brushing off the momentary awkwardness with ease"

As days transitioned seamlessly into weeks, and weeks gracefully evolved into the tapestry of a year, two full revolutions of the seasons had come to fruition, marking the passage of two years with the rhythmic cadence of time's relentless march

A/N ichiro is now 13 in this time skipped

In the midst of the bustling cityscape, a young man ambled along the sidewalk, savoring a snack as he went, his casual attire blending effortlessly with the urban scene.

"Hmm? Hey, look at that guy, isn't he hot?" remarked one of the girls to her friend on the opposite side of the road, her eyes alight with curiosity.

"Where?" her friend asked, craning her neck to catch a glimpse of the young man across the street.

"There, on the other side of the road," the first girl pointed out excitedly, her interest piqued.

"Oh, you're right! Let's ask him out," her friend suggested with a mischievous grin.

"Yeah, let's do it," the first girl agreed, feeling emboldened by her friend's enthusiasm.

With their decision made, the two friends navigated through the throngs of pedestrians and darting vehicles until they reached the opposite side of the road where the young man continued his leisurely stroll.

"Hey, you look like you're alone. Wanna hang out with us? We could go to karaoke," the first girl asked, her voice laced with a friendly smile as she extended the invitation.

The young man, noticing their approach, turned to face them, his expression a mix of surprise and interest. After a moment's consideration, he replied with a smile of his own.

The young man's response caught the girls off guard, their laughter tapering into awkward silence as they processed his words.

"I'm sorry, but my mother said I can't just follow strangers," the young man explained, his voice tinged with a hint of caution.

"Hahahaha, what's that, so hilarious," the other girl chimed in, attempting to diffuse the tension with forced laughter.

"Yeah, hahahaha! I mean, aren't you too old to follow your mother's rule? I mean, how old are you anyway? You look like we're the same age," the first girl added, trying to lighten the mood with a playful jab.

The young man, unfazed by their attempts at humor, responded matter-of-factly, "I'm 13 years old. That's why I can't just follow anyone I meet. Well then, bye."

With those words, he turned and walked away, leaving the two girls stunned, their mouths hanging open in disbelief at the unexpected turn of events. As the reality of the situation sank in, they exchanged bewildered glances, unsure of how to react to their failed attempt at striking up a conversation with the seemingly mature young man.

As Ichiro walked away from the encounter with the two girls, he couldn't shake off the lingering sense of surprise at their mistaken assumption about his age. "Well, I guess that was quite a shock to them, huh? They didn't expect that I'm way younger than them," he mused to himself, adjusting his posture unconsciously. "I mean, it can't be helped. My height can be mistaken as a high schooler, so it's no surprise if they thought I'm the same age as them."

Determined to focus on his next course of action, Ichiro retrieved his phone from his pocket and dialed a familiar number. After a few rings, a voice answered on the other end.

"Hello?"

"Hi, it's me," Ichiro greeted, his tone carrying a hint of urgency.

"Oh, hello Ichiro! Long time no see. How have you been?" the voice responded, laced with playful familiarity.

"I'm fine. I need to ask you a favor, though. Can we meet?" Ichiro inquired, getting straight to the point.

"Hmm? That's so sudden, but alright. We'll meet in the same place where we parted ways a couple of years ago, okay?" the man agreed, his tone indicating his curiosity.

"Yeah, I'll be there," Ichiro confirmed before ending the call.

"Now I need to ask him to train me. Since all I've been fighting for the past years are the shikigami and curse spirits, I need some real fights against another human being. I'll be fighting humans in the near future, so I need to be prepared," Ichiro thought to himself as he pocketed his phone and headed towards their agreed meeting spot, determination burning bright in his eyes.
