"Stay here," Ahmed told Sheby when they reached a remote area filled with nothing but bushes. Sheby panicked. How was she supposed to stay here, alone in this place that seemed like a burial ground for dead bodies? Ahmed had been trailing someone she did not recognize, who had suddenly left his horse and was now walking further into the bush.
"How can I stay here all by myself?" her frantic voice whispered, fearing that the quietness would swallow her.
"It is safe here"
Sheby's eyes widened. S.. sa.. safe? In a place where it seems like ghost will emerge and devour her?
"If anything should happen, take the horse with you and ride off to safety," he warned. Sheby furrowed her brow. "What about you?" she asked, worried about how she would manage to ride home without him.
"I'll be fine," he said, scanning the place, his gaze fixed on the route that the man followed.
