4.83% Rebirth of Aron Blackthorn: A Pokémon Odyssey / Chapter 2: A New Beginning

Capítulo 2: A New Beginning

In my second life in the Pokémon world, I found myself standing on the porch of a picturesque house. This exquisite residence, nestled atop a lush hill, offered a breathtaking view of the pristine landscape that extended as far as the eye could see. As I surveyed the surroundings, it was impossible not to feel a sense of serenity and wonder at the beauty of this place.

This house, which had become my home, was no ordinary dwelling. It was a testament to the Blackthorn family's legacy, a lineage steeped in honor and reverence within the Pokémon world. The architecture was a blend of traditional charm and modern comforts, reflecting the family's commitment to preserving their heritage while embracing the future. As a member of the Blackthorn family, I was entrusted with the responsibility of upholding our values and the principles that had guided us for generations.

The knowledge from my previous life, the understanding of Pokémon, and the extraordinary gift provided by Arceus served as constant reminders of my unique role. It was a role that transcended the boundaries of my age, for I had been reborn into this world at the age of five, my earlier life's experiences and wisdom intact.

For the past five years, this second life has been an exploration of self-discovery, guided by the watchful eyes of Pokémon that have become my guardians and mentors. They filled the void left by the absence of my parents, who had been tragically taken from me when I was but a year old.

The Pokémon world, I realized, was far more enigmatic and uncharted than the fictional tales I had known on Earth. It was a world where humans and Pokémon coexisted, yet the divide between them was deeper and more complex than I could have ever imagined. Less than seven percent of this vast realm had been explored by humans, and our knowledge was but a flicker in the grand tapestry of the Pokémon world's mysteries.

My heart was heavy with the weight of responsibility. My knowledge, my abilities, and the gift from Arceus had set me on a unique path, one that connected the Blackthorn family's heritage with the potential to bridge the divide between humans and Pokémon. I was a living bridge, and I embraced my role with determination and a renewed sense of purpose.

This was just the beginning of my second life, a life filled with the promise of new discoveries, profound connections, and the possibility of mending the rift that had divided humans and Pokémon for far too long. As I stood on the porch of the Blackthorn family's ancestral home, I looked out at the world with a sense of wonder and determination, ready to embrace the challenges and adventures that lay ahead.

As I gazed at the horizon, contemplating the path ahead, a small, immature voice broke through my reverie. It was a voice filled with innocence and curiosity, a reminder of the world's wonders waiting to be explored.

"Aron, Aron, the old ghost wants to see you," the voice called out. I couldn't help but smirk when I saw who it was, yelling to grab my attention. It was none other than Lance Blackthorn, my cousin and a mere year older than me.

The "old ghost" he was referring to was none other than my grandmother, Alice Blackthorn. At 130 years old, she didn't look a day older than in her twenties. She was a level 7 Aura Grandmaster and a level 6 Psychic Master, a rare dual-attribute user in the current Pokémon world. Her expertise extended to dark-type Pokémon, and she stood on the brink of being a true Epic Class Trainer, a class that surpassed even Master Class Trainers.

Lance greeted me with a playful grin, a look of shared mischief that had been a constant in our childhood. We were cousins by blood, but our bond ran deeper than mere family ties. We were kindred spirits, partners in exploration and discovery, and I could sense that this new life would be no different.

"Aron, let's go. I don't want to enrage that old crow. She scares me, and I'm not sure why that old crow gives you special treatment. It's not at all fair, I say." Lance pouted and made a grumpy face as he conveyed his clear dislike toward our grandmother.

I chuckled at Lance's melodramatic display of displeasure. It was true; our grandmother had always had a unique way of interacting with us. Her aura of wisdom and power often intimidated those who didn't know her well, but I had always found comfort in her presence. With a reassuring pat on Lance's shoulder, I replied, "Don't worry, Lance. Grandma Alice may have her quirks, but she's family, and you'll get used to her."

I followed Lance as we made our way to the reserve where most of the Blackthorn family's Pokémon were raised. The size of the reserve was nothing short of impressive; it incorporated the very essence of nature. In fact, the entire Blackthorn City and its vicinity fell under the purview of the family, forming a harmonious ecosystem where both humans and Pokémon thrived.

Among the many Pokémon colonies cared for by the Blackthorn family, two stood out as pseudo-legendary havens. One was home to a colony of Dragonite, majestic and wise creatures that had been cherished by the family for generations. The other was a Tyranitar colony, a closely guarded sanctuary accessible only to select family members. This exclusivity was due to a unique pact between our family and the matriarch of the Tyranitar colony, who also happened to be my grandmother Alice's main Pokémon.

I turned toward Lance, who was walking by my side, and inquired, "Lance, do you have any idea why Grandma wants to meet me, or are you taking me there so that I can bail you out of some trouble that you've created?"

Lance responded with an indignant tone, "What? How can you say that? I'm not the one who always causes trouble; it's you! But you always get away with it, no matter what. And just so you know, I'm the big brother, and I'm supposed to bail you out of trouble."

I couldn't help but smile as I reflected on all the mischief that Lance would often find himself embroiled in. It was a dynamic we had shared since childhood, one where I, the younger cousin, often played the role of the voice of reason and sometimes the troublemaker, while Lance, the older one, was perpetually eager to uphold his responsibility and occasionally got caught in a mess of his own making.

I couldn't shake the curiosity that had taken hold of me. "Now that aside, tell me why Grandma wanted to see me."

Lance, still maintaining his indignant stance, responded, "Hehe, the first exploration team that went into the wilderness has returned, and Grandma asked me to fetch you. It seems like an emergency. Something seems to have gone wrong during the exploration."

As Lance conveyed this news, I couldn't help but feel a sense of foreboding. The mood had shifted, and the dire state of affairs was unmistakable, particularly when seen from the perspective of a child like Lance. And I didn't have any foreknowledge about the expedition because this was something I arranged for personally in my new life.

"It seems like they got into some sort of trouble, and if I'm not wrong, the expedition's duration has been cut short. Do you know the exact condition of the exploration team? Were there any casualties?" I asked Lance, hoping he had more information given his frequent presence in the main compound.

Lance wore a somber expression as he replied, "I'm not sure of the exact numbers, but from what I heard, the losses were high. The team had ventured way too deep into the unknown, and they had come across an Aurora Stage Pokémon. As per the information I collected, the team lost more than half a dozen elite-class trainers and a champion-class trainer. There also seem to be more trainers who have returned severely injured."

My heart sank as Lance shared this grim news. All of these trainers were part of our family, and the magnitude of the tragedy was overwhelming. "An Aurora Stage Pokémon? Is it now? That's not something you come across in the wild so easily. There seems to be more to this incident than we know about."

My concern extended beyond the Pokémon encounter itself. "I'm more concerned about the trainers currently because the original idea for this exploration was all laid out by me personally." I couldn't help but ponder the harsh reality of the Pokémon world, where only the law of the jungle applied. Out in the wild, the strong thrived while the weak perished. The routes connecting most human cities were far outside the core regions, where wild Pokémon were concentrated. These routes were constantly monitored by Rangers, and the truly powerful Pokémon lived deep in the wilderness.

An Aurora Stage Pokémon was indeed a formidable powerhouse, and it would take a wild Pokémon more than a millennium to reach such an advanced stage. In the Pokémon world, these creatures were classified into twelve stages of power, each representing an increasing level of strength and rarity. However, in my previous life, there had always been whispers of one more stage beyond the mythical stage, yet no one could definitively prove the authenticity of this information.

The mention of the Aurora Stage Pokémon brought back memories of the mysterious and awe-inspiring world of Pokémon that I had once known. The boundaries of possibility in this realm were vast and undefined, offering endless opportunities for discovery and adventure.

We reached the place where our escorts were waiting to take us toward the meeting place, where our grandmother was expecting my arrival. A group of Pokémon, our loyal guards for this journey, stood by, ready to accompany us through the vast reserve. Their presence was as much for our protection as it was to prevent any accidental mishaps. As we set off on our journey through the reserve, I found solace in the friendly demeanor of these remarkable creatures, knowing that we were in safe hands, or rather, safe paws and claws.

I quietly used my observation skill, one of the unique gifts bestowed upon me by Arceus. This remarkable ability allowed me to delve deeper into the essence of the lead Pokémon, far beyond what a typical observer might discern. I could perceive the intricacies of its nature, temperament, and even past experiences. With this gift, I could retrieve a wealth of detailed information about the Pokémon, creating a profound connection that transcended the surface-level interactions that most trainers experienced.

The journey into the reserve was not one to be taken lightly. As we ventured deeper into the heart of the reserve, we were accompanied by four expert escorts, each of whom was an ace-level trainer. In the Pokémon League, it's well known that one must have at least six Black Gold-ranked Pokémon in their ranks to be considered a formidable trainer. It was evident that the Blackthorn family, the guardians of this mystical land, was no exception to this rule.

The Blackthorn family has a long-standing reputation for their extraordinary strength and skill as Pokémon trainers. The majority of their members are high-level trainers, and they've gained recognition and respect for their accomplishments. Many of them have reached the Black Gold stage and even beyond. Their Pokémon are a testament to their dedication and expertise in training.

However, helping a Pokémon ascend from the Black Gold stage to the Platinum stage is a monumental task. This transformation requires the awakening of a unique and extraordinary energy within the Pokémon. There are two primary types of energy that can facilitate this transition: aura and psychic energy.

Aura Energy:

Aura energy is a mysterious force that is deeply connected to a Pokémon's inner self. It represents the spiritual and emotional essence of a Pokémon.

To awaken Aura energy, a Pokémon must undergo a profound journey of self-discovery, delving into its own emotions and experiences.

Once awakened, Aura energy enhances a Pokémon's instincts, allowing it to sense the emotions and intentions of others. This can lead to heightened perception, improved combat skills, and a deeper connection with its trainer.

Psychic Energy:

Psychic energy is linked to a Pokémon's intellectual and cognitive capabilities. It represents a Pokémon's mental prowess and intelligence.

To awaken Psychic energy, a Pokémon must embark on a quest to expand its mental faculties, solve complex puzzles, and overcome mental challenges.

Once awakened, Psychic energy grants a Pokémon telekinetic abilities, allowing it to manipulate objects with its mind. It also enhances its mental agility, problem-solving skills, and the ability to communicate telepathically.

The transition to the platinum stage is not just a physical evolution but a profound internal change. It requires a deep understanding of one's inner self, emotions, and intellectual potential. Only those Pokémon and trainers who successfully tap into the powers of aura or psychic energy can ascend to this elite stage, marking them as truly exceptional and remarkable in the Pokémon world.

Dear readers and fans,

I hope you're enjoying this fanfiction journey as much as I am. It's been a labor of love, but I'm at a point where I'm considering how best to invest my time. While this story draws inspiration from an existing world, I've been passionate about building upon it, adding my own creative touches, and sharing it with you.

I want to maintain the essence of what fanfiction stands for: a community of like-minded individuals who come together to appreciate creativity. That's why I've decided to introduce a voluntary way for those who can afford it and believe in the value of my work to support me.

I'm in the process of setting up a Patreon account dedicated solely to donations. It's not about making this a profit-driven endeavor but rather a way for those who find value in my writing to show their appreciation and encouragement.

Your support, in whatever form it comes, will help me continue dedicating time and effort to this project. It's entirely voluntary, and your readership alone is already a fantastic reward.

Thank you for understanding and for being a part of this fanfiction adventure.

Warm regards,
