Song Jian stepped into the cave entrance, where a narrow passageway lay ahead. The rock walls of the passageway emitted a dim, red glow, the scorching temperature proving almost unbearable even for him.

The passageway led steeply downwards, deep into the earth. Having navigated through it, Song Jian soon arrived at an underground square. Despite its location, the environment here wasn't any different from the surface. The ground was riddled with cracks through which lava flowed slowly, occasionally spluttering upwards before solidifying into blackish-red rocks.

However, the environment here was a little bit darker than the surface. With his Vertical Eye slightly open, Song Jian could see that the underground square was quite expansive. A few rudimentary straw huts were scattered around, and at the center of the square was a giant altar surrounded by rows upon rows of stone steps, as many as a hundred. At the very top of the altar was a roaring bonfire.
