Capítulo 23: Chapter 23: Enemy at Bay

The edict arrived early in the morning just as we were having breakfast. I could tell how hungover Prince Ulysses was as since he winced while drinking coffee and rubbed his temples once every three minutes. I had instructed the chef to bring him a hangover soup, but Prince Ulysses declined by saying that he just needed coffee. 

The royal guards arrived and brought the edict to the room. “My prince, the Queen has requested us to deliver the royal edict.”

I stood from the chair and the guard handed it to me. “Thank you. Where is Ma?” I inquired. 

“She is with the King, my prince,” the royal guard responded.

I nodded as the royal guard bowed and left. I stared at the edict wondering why Ma panicked when I mentioned the Lycan in the woods. I knew that the West Kingdom was secretive and Oclan Relic’s greed for power was known. 

Prince Ulysses' voice interrupted my thoughts. “Are we about to leave?”
