"Elvira, wait!" Leona's long shadow quickly moved and preceded her. "Where are you running off to?" She walked beside her.

"Get away from me. You have gone insane." Elvira increased her speed to get her sister off her tail.

"What have I done wrong?" said Leona, struggling to match her pace. "I'm only acquainting you with the truth. There is much to consider. Our stay with you will be brief. Cornelius must make Valaine fall in love with him before that."

Elvira halted and looked at her sister in disbelief. "Why would he do that? My brother-in-law is uninterested in pursuing a relationship with any woman, let alone my witch sister. Also, Valaine blew her chances of him ever liking her by throwing her saliva on his face."

"She had seen wizards as her enemies until yesterday. Of course, she put her saliva on his face. Were you expecting her to kiss him instead?" Leona curled her lip.
