Capítulo 274: 274 The Boys: Sentry's Power Has Been Inherited. Cruel Death, Crushing the Head of a Superhero.

Allen listened attentively to Hughie's explanation, then sighed.

"You do dangerous things for no reason, Hughie."

Hughie laughed nervously, knowing he should be with Robin, who was still in the hospital because she wasn't allowed to leave without a few days of observation.

"Are we done talking?" Butcher interjected with a mocking smile. "Because we have work to do."

"We have?" said Allen.

Butcher tilted his head and then looked at Hughie.

He replied nervously, "I h-haven't told him yet."

Butcher grunted and then turned to Allen. "I don't know what your goal is, but I can see you don't like superheroes."

"…"

"I know it's absurd. Everyone who's given the gift is taught to admire and follow the path of a superhero… unless they have useless powers and are discarded."

"What's your point?"

"Kid, you have the power to kill a Supe, and coincidentally, I'm good at capturing them…"

Butcher turned around and walked to the back. There was a cage with a naked man inside. If you've watched TV, you'd recognize him as Translucent, a member of the Seven.

"Again, you? Aren't you tired of this? It'll be the time they find me, and I'll enjoy sticking my hand up their ass to pull out their intestines?"

"Hahaha, such a pleasant guy…" Butcher, far from getting angry, smiled willingly, which made Translucent nervous.

"What?"

"Nothing, I just brought a friend I want you to meet," Butcher looked toward the entrance, " Kid, this is my pet."

With Butcher's words, Allen walked through the door. Translucent, who had been cursing, fell silent and then he turned pale. He couldn't forget Allen after being humiliated in front of everyone.

"You!!"

"It's been a while…"

Translucent couldn't believe his bad luck. He had been humiliated at the bar and feared that Homelander would kill him, so he had searched everywhere for Allen.

Translucent recalled the original video, which was not publicly shown. He recalled that a certain Hugh Campbell helped him escape.

Although it was said that Allen had forced Hughie, it was his only lead. Homelander would be furious if the image of the Seven was tarnished again, and he would end up dead or worse. For Translucent, getting information from the police was not difficult and he went directly to where Hughie worked.

He saw Butcher and heard everything he said. Translucent thought of killing Butcher and capturing Hughie, who was Allen's friend, but ended up being defeated in a humiliating way.

"Damn it, you were working with the villain!!" Translucent went mad, hitting the bars of the cage. "Don't screw with me. Because of you, my ass is in danger. I don't know what you're planning, but you're ruining our image. My damn movie just premiered, for God's sake!"

"How pitiful… for someone who calls themselves a superhero."

Allen's gaze was tinged with contempt as he responded to Translucent.

Tony – What a selfish guy… I'm nobody to talk about morality, but even in my eyes, this guy is repulsive.

Kara – I want to punch that face and throw him in jail for life.

Barbara – I didn't think I'd be so bothered by his words...

Starfire – I hate him.

Raven – For Starfire to hate him, this guy must be the worst of the worst.

Donna – It's unfortunate that people idolize them without knowing the truth.

Diana – I can't believe a world like this exists. There must be one that isn't trash... otherwise, it's too pitiful.

...

Translucent stopped talking, for a moment he forgot that his opponent was a Supe, maybe he could kill him.

Allen squinted at Translucent, whose face showed fear. "You're born with power, but when you grow up, you realize it's all a farce. The villains are creations of Vought and many of their actors. So who am I, and why am I attacking you?" said Allen saying what Translucent was thinking.

Translucent regained his composure after seeing that they weren't going to kill him immediately. He scanned Allen, a young man no older than twenty with a unique appearance. Translucent couldn't believe someone like him was a total stranger. Even if he didn't have powers, he should be famous just for his appearance.

"Oh, God, how disgusting!" Butcher spat on the floor.

"…" Allen frowned in disgust.

Even Hughie looked away. Translucent looked down and covered his groin, which had become aroused.

Rick – Hahahaha

Jack – WTF hahaha

Tony – Hahaha, I can't believe it

Gwen – Sorry hahahaha

All the Chat including the girls laughed. Allen was upset and annoyed. Butcher, noticing this, touched Allen's shoulder.

"Come on, kid, do your thing." Butcher smiled unpleasantly, his bloodlust evident.

"Butcher?" Hughie asked, confused, not knowing what to make of it either.

"You're not thinking…?!" Translucent turned pale after the embarrassment.

"Don't make that face. You know, right? I know you hate them too, so there you go. Finish him off…"

Butcher's words left the room in a silent moment, even Hughie holding his breath.

Allen's eyes widened. It was true; this man was burning with rage and hatred toward the Supes.

"NO, WAIT! DON'T DO IT!"

"SHUT UP!!" Butcher drew a weapon and shot Translucent multiple times. However, the bullets ricocheted off him and then around the room. "You're nothing but a degenerate, abuser, and killer without redemption. I know all your little secrets…"

"Wait, I'm not going to execute someone," Allen replied.

Butcher laughed and then grabbed Allen by the collar of his clothes. Of course, Allen stopped the girls from intervening.

"Do you want me to give you a report on everything this guy has done?! I'd need two thick folders for that!!"

Allen pushed Butcher back a bit, and he nearly fell. "You have a huge hatred for them, but you're mistaken about me. They might disgust me, and damn right they do! I might consider them trash, and I do! But I'm not going to execute a naked guy who can't defend himself!"

Butcher snorted while adjusting his trench coat. "All right, you're a good kid with honor, I get it…"

Butcher started walking around the room. Hughie sighed in relief, as did Translucent. However, Allen looked at Butcher with suspicion.

Kara – I don't like his eyes

Natasha – Allen!

Thor – That guy is crazy!

Allen was about to stop Butcher, but he did something that surprised everyone. He opened Translucent's cage.

Rick – WTF, even I didn't see that coming.

Harley – I've seen enough crazy people to recognize one... and this guy is among the most dangerous. He's willing to die taking everyone with him.

"What are you doing?!" Hughie shouted.

"Your friend is a man of code and honor. Hey, I respect that, so I'm giving him a chance for a fair fight!"

Allen looked at the man in front of him. He knew Butcher was a bastard willing to do anything, but doing this without a doubt was the act of a suicidal lunatic. "You're insane…"

"Thanks," Butcher replied but was immediately pushed and crashed against the wall.

"AAHHHHH!!"

Translucent burst from the cage and ran toward Allen in a scream of hysteria. He didn't want to die. Allen was pushed against the wall, which cracked. Allen had a look of irritation.

"You're not going to kill me, you sons of bitches!!!"

Translucent clenched his fist to punch Allen. Allen grabbed the fist with one hand and punched Translucent in the face with the other, then shoved him to the other side of the wall.

Translucent wasn't the strongest or the fastest, but his defense was immense. Even among the Supes, he could endure a lot due to his power, which turned his skin into a carbon compound capable of deflecting light.

Translucent had become invisible, and among the Seven, his ability was highly useful because of this power.

Butcher stood up, aching but managed to pull a metal bar from his trench coat. Hughie was nervous and scared.

Allen waited for Translucent to attack, his spider-sense would activate.

The main door opened, and everyone thought Translucent was going to escape, but it was Frenchie who entered. "Butcher, I was thinking, what if we stick a bomb up this guy's ass and detonate him from the inside?"

Butcher gave Frenchie a reproachful look. "Couldn't you have come and said that five minutes ago?"

The Frenchman shrugged. "I hadn't thought of it."

Translucent could have escaped but made a grave mistake.

*Translucent's POV*

Damn bastards, how dare they lock me up, how dare they humiliate me, how dare they think they can do this without consequences!!

I'm one of the Seven!!

One of the strongest superheroes in the world!! I'm one of the chosen ones!! I have a damn movie, for God's sake!!

I'll kill them, I'll kill them all!!!

*End of POV*

He could have escaped, but having lived so long at the top of the food chain, he mistakenly thought that once freed, he could do whatever he wanted.

Translucent headed towards Hughie, intending to impale him with his hand. Not because he hated Hughie, but rather to make the others understand that he was serious and would make them suffer before killing them.

The spider-sense activated. This sense not only warned of danger but also indicated how severe it would be. Allen moved just before Translucent's hand could pierce Hughie.

At that moment, and due to the adrenaline, Allen felt something throb within his body, and it wasn't his heart.

Allen's eyes turned golden, and as he reached for Translucent's arm, a kind of energy appeared in his hands.

Allen struck Translucent.

"Urgh!!"

Translucent crashed through the wall and smashed into another building.

Allen looked at his hand. 'I guess this is the power of Sentry… though it's still only a fraction of it.'

Allen frowned toward Butcher, who raised his hands in a sign of surrender. Frenchie and Hughie looked at each other.

Allen snorted and exited through the hole in the wall. As he walked to where Translucent was supposed to be his spider-sense warned him, and something tried to strike him. Allen attacked where he felt the movement of air and struck an invisible man. The man deactivated his power and appeared, with blood coming from his mouth.

"DAMN IT!!"

Translucent, filled with madness and rage, grabbed Allen by the neck.

"Why are you doing this?! Why are you interrupting me?! We're the same! We're Supes!!!"

"What annoys me most is that even after what you've done, you're not aware of it. Energy began to emanate from Allen's body.

Translucent looked at this with hatred. He trusted his defense and believed even Homelander couldn't kill him easily. Furthermore, he thought he was in the right and that if he committed crimes and enjoyed spying on women in the bathroom or breaking into houses and observing people in their privacy, even all the deaths that have been caused or made by the same, all were insignificant compared to the times they saved the world! (They haven't done it even once.)

Somehow, they lied so many times that Translucent mistakenly believes it's true. But don't be fooled... they catch real criminals from time to time, and they defeat (fake) villains occasionally, but real problems in this world, invasions, global crises, everything was invented on green screens within a recording set.

"It's all a lie, and you know it…" Allen growled angrily, having reached a point where he no longer cared about talking to his opponent.

"I'M A SUPERHERO!"

Allen could no longer contain his irritation and released his power. The windows of the buildings around him exploded.

Translucent slowly retreated and looked at his hands, which were no longer there, nor were his arms, everything had been incinerated.

"Ah- Ah… ha…" Translucent was in shock and couldn't scream, only kneeling.

Allen regained his composure, and Hughie called out to him.

"Allen, we need to get out of here!"

"What?"

Felicia – Allen, remember that Homelander also has super hearing

Allen looked at his hands and felt that the power he had was very unstable, fluctuating wildly. Fighting like that would only be unwise, Allen turned and walked away leaving Translucent screaming in pain and armless.

"AAAHHHHHGG!! UUHHKK!"

Translucent fell to the ground and vomited, starting to feel unbearable pain.

"S-SOMEONE HELP ME, I D-DON'T WANT TO DIE!!"

...

A figure descended from the sky and landed in front of Translucent. It was Homelander. Translucent, in tears and desperation, thought he saw an angel.

"Home-"

Translucent's words stopped as he looked at Homelander in disbelief. He didn't kneel to help him, nor did he even ask if he was okay.

Homelander looked at what was left of Translucent, his look was not one that someone would make at the sight of a comrade but that of seeing dog shit on the ground. Seeing his hands, he immediately knew it was the end of this man's career.

For a moment, he considered helping him, treating him as an unfortunate martyr—"The great hero falls before the villain!" The country mourns, and Homelander announces that evil will never triumph. However, that would leave a vacancy in the Seven filled by someone useless.

Homelander felt it was too much trouble, so he looked at Translucent on the ground and without hesitation, placed his boot on the man's head.

"What are you doing?! Homelander, it's me!!"

Slowly, the pressure on Translucent's head began to increase and the ground began to sink.

Desperation, fear, rage, pain, all the emotions began to overwhelm Translucent. He wanted to resist but couldn't.

"NOOO! I'LL DO WHATEVER YOU SAY!! I'LL BE YOUR SLAVE BUT DON'T DO IT!!!"

"…" Homelander did not respond he hadn't spoken a single word to Translucent since he arrived. As the pressure crossed fifty tons, Translucent's head began to give way, producing sounds of cracks and fissures.

The man screamed and struggled, but nothing could move the foot on his head.

In a final attempt, Translucent begged for his life in the most pitiful way he could.

"Please…"

His head exploded, staining the ground, and a drop splattered on Homelander's clothes.

"You only had to do one thing, one single thing, and that was to avoid public mistakes… but you couldn't even do that."

Homelander's gaze was lit up as he looked at the corpse of his former teammate with disdain. When his eyes fixed on Translucent's arms, he felt something strange. He knew how resilient this guy was; after all, that was his characteristic aside from invisibility.

Homelander needed to find those responsible. He decided not to and returned to the Seven's tower.

...

Allen and Hughie were sitting in the back of a car while Frenchie rode shotgun and Butcher drove with a cheerful, unapologetic look.

The others had serious, tired, and bitter expressions.

"Oh, come on, ladies, cheer up! We won!"

None of the three responded, but Frenchie and Hughie were very dissatisfied.

"You're a son of a bitch, and you know it," said Allen, being the only one not afraid of Butcher.

"Hehe, I know, but you can't deny that everything turned out well. Besides, I found a way to hit Vought hard—not just killing one or two Supes but screwing their lives over, those bastards!"

"…" Allen frowned. It seemed there was another change. Butcher looked at him as if he were the goose that laid the golden eggs.

"Huh?"

"The world is a mess… and all the Vought Supes are degenerates, criminals, lunatics, fools, narcissists, or even murderers… the superhero world is a monopoly, all the money goes to them. But what if there was competition?..."

"You don't mean…"

"Allen Walker, you will be a superhero—the only real one in this world!"

Allen, Frenchie, Hughie, and the chat were speechless. It was impossible to predict that Butcher would come up with something like this.

Allen planned to be a villain and take down all the heroes. He didn't have to kill them all, just incapacitate them or make them fear enough to leave their capes at home. This world, with no gods, real supervillains, aliens, interdimensional creatures, or primordial monsters, didn't need people flying around calling themselves heroes… Besides, Allen would leave this world regardless of having a reputation as the worst villain in history… but a superhero?

The Chat knew that Allen disliked being treated as a hero or anything like that.

Allen remained silent…

===

A/N: Superhero or villain, both options will make Allen face all the degenerates, so it doesn't matter. 🍷🗿
