Brax turns as he hears the door open.

“Brax, what aren’t you telling me?” Parker looks in the reflection at Brax, where he had been staring. He meets her eyes. How the Purix soldiers targeted her twice on the Beltway has been plaguing her, she knows something is wrong.

“Brax, I was targeted twice. Once being sucked down into that cavern where that Purix battleship was and then again by all the guys on the spacecycles. Tell me, please.” Parker wraps her hands around Brax’s waist and presses herself against his back.

“You know HelixI intercepted the enemy’s communications about seizing you. For many phases, there are factions within ICUS that are either not satisfied with their position and power within ICUS or not happy with how powerful Arcturians are in ICUS. So, we have many enemies within ICUS.” Brax starts to share his worries with Parker.
