Capítulo 2: 2. Person of Interest
We left the restaurant with full stomach but as we were leaving there were men trying to cat call me over to their tables but I ignored them. "male humans are ignorant." Bruce hissed "easy my friend, we're leaving they are the least of our worries. They don't even measure up as a warrior let alone someone who's competent as a man." I said baring my fangs and my eyes changed color to a blood red making the men stop with their cat calling and turn white as sheets.
Bruce chuckled "that's the first time I've ever seen someone turn that white before. It's wise not to show too much of your animal side, do try your best to keep it at bay. The less human eyes we have on us the better." Bruce said; once outside we said our goodbyes and agreed to meet within the next week to sign an agreement. Walking away from one another him going one while I go the other I take my phone out to make a few calls about upcoming plans but on one of my calls someone into me; "the fuck!" he shouted I glared at him, "those should be my words! Ignorance must be your new best friend because you're the one who bumped into me." I said feeling my anger boil "sweetheart you've got some nerve talking to me like that." he scuffed "oh boo hoo cry me a river while you're complaining alright? You're acting like a child not a man." I said turning on my heels starting to walk away but not before he grabbed me by my wrist "Sweetheart, I'm very much a grown man and I'll be more then happy to show what I'm about." he said I heard the voice from my phone call; "esal todo e formanti gratio balu." I said speaking in dragons tongue 'I'll have to call you back at a later time.' I said to my call and there was silence and I knew he had hung up, "what the fuck did you just say?" the man asked but I took my wrist back knocking him off kilter "Don't worry about what I said that call was private anyway; you couldn't keep up with me anyway. Now let go of me, I have other things I need to be doing besides it seems that you need to be else where too." I said and I noticed some men in black suits and black sunglasses; whoever this man is he seems to have power in this city.
"You're not from around here are you sweetheart?" he asked "No I'm not. I'm also not in the mood for any messing around tonight; if I wanted to fuck around tonight I might hit you up but since you're not my type I would love it if you like me go so that I can go about my business." I said clearly annoyed letting my dragons energy come to the surface but remembering Bruce's words to not let my animal come out too much; "Che cazzo è il tuo problema?" he asked 'What the fuck is your problem?'
I laughed at him and answered him in his own tongue "ah questioni personali. Niente che ti riguardi, zolletta." I said 'ha personal matters. Nothing that concerns you, sugarcube.'
"Smart, beautiful, sassy, courageous, spunky, ambition, and fucking beautiful to boot. I'm sure we'll meet each other again and hopefully soon; my name is Daniel De Luca." he said "I doubt that we'll meet again, Mr De Luca. Bye." I said walking around him and I could feel his eyes on me but I ignored it and went on my way. I could hear him give orders for someone to follow me.
"Childs play." I said to myself picking up the pace but not too fast. I wanted this guy to think he could keep up with me, with a snap of my finger an invisible layer showed behind me mirroring me walking towards the hotel I'll be staying at for the night, I made a right then a left turn to throw him off my trail and he was still following my mirroring spell and I went on my merry way.
Walking for another block I reach a nice hotel; The Marriott Hotel. Walking inside I cast a spell so that I can't be found by Daniel's men, going to the front desk someone is there to greet me "Hello Miss. Are you looking for a room tonight?" She asked "Yes please, whatever you have available." I said and she started to type away on the computer; "I have a room with a view, how many nights will you be staying with us?" She asked "a week please." I said and she typed away again and with in a few minutes "the last thing I will ask for is your first and last name please and thank you." She asked and I decided that I would use an alias whenever I came to earth "Lisa Denise." I said giving her a fake and before she could ask I passed her my I.D, she looked it over before giving back the I.D and passing me the key to my room. "Here you are ma'am, do you need any help with your bags?" She asked "No thank you." I said "Your room number is 8972. Have a please night ma'am." She said but before leaving I give her a 20 dollar tip, "Thank you love. You too, have a good night." I said taking my key and walking towards the elevator and somewhere in the lobby I could feel someone's eyes on me; casting a small spell to find who or what was there. A scorpion? They hardly ever left their homes or their communities, walking up to the scorpion we wanted to look in another direction but our eyes met; "I don't take kindly to being followed by someone I don't trust. You're either lost or you're trying to find out my room, last I check scorpions like to stay in the comforts of their own home and space." I said crossing my arms; "I umm… I saw you but wanted to ask. Umm… I really don't know how to say this." He said and I wasn't in the mood the more I stood in plain sight someone might see me from Mr De Luca's group. I hated using magic out in the open like this but casting another spell to see where my room was from the lobby I found it; with a snap of my fingers I was in my room with the scorpion.
