The awakening ceremony took the consciousness of the triplets into a vivid dream.

In here, their minds floated around, sometimes aware of what's happening, most of the time not. They felt like they were drifting for eternity, not really understanding anything, and had completely forgotten who they were.

After what seems to be years, if not decades, all three boys felt a warm current gushing through their bodies. It was then followed by a piercing clarity that shook them awake.

Then, they saw themselves experiencing something truly bizarre...

Starting with Gerald, he found himself standing in the middle of an intense artic hail. Cold winds howled in his ears, and an endless blanket of snow white filled his vision. He struggled to make out what's happening around him. Logic tells him that he should be freezing to death in this environment, but strangely enough, he wasn't. He felt perfectly fine.
