He was going to be the end of me, that’s all I knew as I popped some painkillers and downed water down my throat that morning.

My head was throbbing and aching so badly after the wild party that my dear Alaine had prepared for me.

To think that I would be able to party that wildly in Upia, I still couldn’t believe it. However, thinking about the person who had hosted it, there was nothing that he couldn’t do. Which was why my love for him was abundant.

“Ring. Ring. Ring.”

As I massaged my throbbing temples, waiting for the pills to take effect, my phone started ringing.

I walked to the island where I placed my phone earlier and took a look at the person who was calling.

Upon seeing the caller, a smile appeared on my face as I picked up the phone to answer.

“Um, hello!”

[Hey, babes. How are you? I missed you!]

“I can hear that in your tone, boy. I missed you, too. How is everything there?”
