Capítulo 6: The First Trial

In Warp four beings rule over portions of it through overwhelming power, each god has their domain, made in their twisted image. Khorne the god of war, martial honour, murder and Rage was born from humanity's unending wars and desire to kill. the second is Nurgle, the god of death, decay, despair and rebirth he was given life through the death of those who died in war and those who grew sick with fever, then eventually a horrible death. The third is Tzeentch the god of evolution, change, mutation and knowledge, he was born from the desire to change one's ways and to change their fate. The last is the youngest compared to her brothers Slaanesh the god/goddess of pleasure, excess, hedonism and perfection, she was created by the Aeldari due to their hubris and immorality due to that a large portion of their people were consumed by her.

Nurgle, Lord of Death a demon of the most powerful kind, is in constant war with his siblings since he was born. Being ever watchful of his territory, knowing who dares pass through his domain will die in the worst ways to the creatures that live in his garden and if you're unlucky you will be a test subject for his plagues.

After killing the demon I later learned from the wolf, about who lives here and what I should expect and that was anything and everything, very helpful advice. Walking towards a ruined castle covered in plants and turning the grey solid rock a tinge green, the only problem is the castle is about 60 kilometres from where we are and we have to travel through more of this "Garden" with a sigh of bitterness.

The wolf stepped forward "Remember you are a Son of Horus and you are a Lieutenant., Tthese are no small feats, in my book." the wolf stared at me with a smile that showed his razor-sharp teeth, "Thank you for your kind words wolf but I am no Son of Horus, they followed the Warmaster to kill the last of those who were loyal to the Emperor on Isstvan III."

I sat down on a bare rock overlooking this garden of decay "When I was a neophyte training to become a mighty Astartes (space marine) I remember hearing the message that earned us our name, "Call off your Wolves." those words still ring through my head to this day" I turned towards the wolf, " I am Luna wolf of the XVI (16th) legion and I swore an oath to the Emporer to protect the Imperium and it's citizens from our enemy's."

I stood up from the rock, holstered my bolter and pulled my power sword from my hip, with my hand firmly holding the black leather handle with the golden Aquila sitting above my hand, the slight movement of my hand the sword came to life turning a tinge of blue lighting grabbing the black steel sword, "It is time to slay our enemies where they live." moving towards the rotting green forest with thunders steps.

The wolf looked towards the space marine with a smile full of pride "I am glad, you still have the fight within you." the wolf followed the warrior through the next phase towards the ruined castle.

Making our way through the green mist bog with the sickly trees for canopy, I can hear the sounds of scratching against the tree, turning around to where I heard the sound but nothing was there, I was about to turn on the lights on my power armour but then the wolf said in a whispered voice" Do not turn those lights on." understanding what he meant I switched my hud to night vision though blurry from the most, I see the branches of the tree covered by Nurglings which are little demons of Nurgle who are his eyes and ears of his domain sleeping soundly.

Nurglings are not the strongest of Nurgles armies but their power does not come from shared strength but shared numbers and they are currently sleeping in almost every tree that I can see as if replacing the leaves of the tree with demons that would eat us alive and laugh while they do it. Now looking at the wolf we shared a knowing node, where we started to slowly move through the bog "I am glad this didn't turn out like last" Crack! (the wolf stepped on a brunch.) I looked at the wolf, and then we looked at the branches, with ever second pairs of red eyes started to blink across the top of trees, I shouted "Run!!!!" now trying to sprint through the bog but having a hard time moving because of the weight of my armour.

A few Nurglings dropped from the trees to try and latch on me, I swing my sword across the Nurglings cutting them in half then dodged another round of them, then did the same pattern of killing then avoiding the little sh*ts for half an hour, then the wolf shouted "We are almost out, just another few minutes and we should reach the castle, by then." now wishing I had a flamer to burn our pursuers away, we continued to run for our lives and having reached the castle gates, with our pursuers stopped some ways back. "I am glad we have finally lost the filth that was hunting us, but it concerns me that they did not continue to fellow." looking towards the wolf he shared the same feeling that our trial was not over, I looked past the rusted iron gates towards a large courtyard where the mist turned to fog and not seeing much after that.

I looked back towards the iron gate gauging the weight of the gate, I turned off the last fang brought it back to my side and bent down facing the gate, with hands griping the lowest part of the gate and with all my might and strength, I forced the gate over my head long enough for the wolf and I to pass through, taking out my bolter.

I stepped forward towards the centre of the courtyard feeling the fog roll off my armour my bolter still raised pointing towards the doors of a church that showed no signs of decay but that is a seldom truth here, I moved towards the door, I got close enough to press my left hand on to the door but needed a bit more of a push, with a bit more force the doors of the church opened with dust falling off and the door showing signs of wear from rapid ageing looking around the church to defiled alters and pews lined against the sides, while aiming down the barrel of my bolter, I scanned the hall from left to right seeing nothing there but fog passing me to fill the church, then the sudden flash of lighting a being wrapped in a clock kneeling in front of the corrupted alter.

Aiming my bolter directly at where his head should be, I called out towards the person " Who are you?" The person turned his head towards me, then started to rise and pulled off the clock from his lumbering body. What surprised me most was the armour he wore, he was a space marine and not just any space marine, but a Luna Wolf. But as he stepped out from the shadow of the corrupted alter, the being sported a tentacle for an arm, a gaping maw from his belly and a bloated, sickly face. In pained words, the being spewed a heinous liquid over the floor and then spoke in a hushed tone "I am you…"
