Kayla's POV
Amidst anxiety and exhaustion, my emotional breakdown gradually subsided.
Nevertheless, I still paid no attention to Harrison and Nathan, who were waiting with me outside the operating room. Instead, I remained fully focused on that red light, even though its glaring intensity made my eyes well up with tears on several occasions.
Perhaps it was my inner hope that moved the moon goddess. Finally, that red light blinked, and the door to the operating room was pushed open from the inside.
I sprang up from my seat like a coiled spring and immediately approached the person in surgical attire.
"Doctor, how is my daughter?"
"Miss Reeves, I don't have much time, so I'll ask just one question. This question is a matter of life and death for Daisy, so please give me an accurate answer."
Although the doctor was wearing a mask and cap, I recognized him from his serious eyes. The person in front of me was indeed Dr. Ferrera.
I nodded, "I will tell the truth, Dr. Ferrera."
