Omizo Town.
"Yes! Yes! Please follow me to the town, I'll explain everything in detail!!"
Said the town chief in a hurry to Danzo, not wanting to displease his last hope.

Following the town chief, the four of them entered the town through the wooden gate, the current condition of the town appearing before everyone.
Most of the houses in the town were made of wood, some were completely demolished, some had cracks on them, some seemed burned.
Even if nearly two days had passed since the incident, the air still reeked of terror, fear and blood.
And even though a lot of mess was cleaned in these two days, some dried up blood needed more cleaning.
Also, all around the town tents with a plus sign on them could be seen, the smell of antiseptics coming out of them.
"It doesn't seem just an ordinary raid, the whole town was affected so badly" Spoke Sayuri.
"Exactly! The bandits seemed to have put a lot of thought into this raid!"
Agreed Naoki with her, this simple rescue mission was turning more and more nerve wrecking.
The four of them soon arrived in front of a particular big tent, the current residence of town chief, his former place completely burnt down in the attack.
Entering the tent, the town chief motioned them to sit on the four couches placed near a table in the middle, soon five cups of steaming green tea served.
"Ninja-Sama, as mentioned in the report already, our town was raided by bandits, with the town's protective force we were able to drive them away"
"Though in the process a lot of lives were lost, numerous were injured as well"
"And during the attack, my son who is the commander of the protective force and was fighting alongside got taken away"
"The bandits sent a message through a raven to prepare 5 million ryo in three days if I want to take my son back or else he'll be killed"
"And it's not just my son, quite a few others were kidnapped by them as well, every life is equally jmportant but...if my son dies, the force under him will be affected"
"This used to be quite a deserted place a few years ago, but it was both us father and son who in years made this a popular town in the kingdom fire"
"I mostly dealt with business and financial matters and my son built the protective force on his own, he trained every one of them"
"Everyone in the protective force prioritizes his life over everything as they had worked under him from the day one, so for the future security of this town his life is the most important"
"If he dies, all these people will not be united anymore, some might try to get revenge, some might leave, in any case it will be a disaster for the town!"
"So...please bring my son back!!! I ask nothing more!!!"

Saying that, the town chief banged his head on the ground, prostrating , tears streaming down his old cheeks.
At this old age, all he had left was his son and him dying will leave him alone in this world, just the thought of it made him cry his eyes out.

The three of them, Naoki, Sayuri and Shinku holding the cup of green tea quietly watched the old man prostrating before them, heavy looks on the face of Shinku and Sayuri.
"There is no need for you to be so anxious, since we are paid, we'll do our best to compete our mission sir"
Said Naoki to the crying old man calmly, this was just the start, such sights he was probably going to see a lot in the future, so he needed to keep his emotions in check and stay calm and collected.
Now...
"We would like to know how the bandits entered the village?"
"Did they enter the town during the day or night? if it's former, how did they bring the weapons in? And in case of latter, why was the bridge lowered during the night that allowed them to enter?"
Asked Naoki a serious of questions that needed to be answered for further investigation, the old man stopping is teaes and raising his head to listen to him carefully.
"We have come on a conclusion ourselves that either someone provided them weapons inside the town or lowered the bridge for them during the night to let them enter"
Sayuri chipped in as well to share what they have come up with till now, Danzo quietly sipping the tea and letting them do the talk.
"You are right, they sneaked in during the day and were provided the weapons by someone in the town"
"And when they were retreating after the attack, the bridge was lowered down for them to escape easily"
"And... the person who provided them weapons and lowered the bridge for them...it was me!"
What!!!
His words fell, shocking the four in the tent, this unexpected information catching them off guard.
