Since he planned to leave tonight, he parked his car outside the entrance instead of at Summer's estate. His primary intention was to keep the parking spaces for the guests arriving later.

He settled Jaylene down in the passenger seat, helped her fasten her seat belt, and then looked at her pale face and sweaty forehead, saying, "Five kilometers away, there's a small town with a large hospital. If there's no traffic jam, it should take us ten minutes to get there. Bear with it."
