"Hurry it up, Akira. What's taking you so long?" Master Akane was ruthless at times. Take the present as an example. Akane is pushing me to collect the loot from the monsters we defeated like it was easy. Of course, it would be for someone like her, but she forgot I am only a kid with spaghetti arms and barely any skills to help me cut better. Still, since she pays me for my shelter, food, and other necessities, I won't press her so hard on being too demanding. Even so, I can't help but find her demands annoying.
"On it, Sensei," I answered before she came closer to reprimand my lack of respect. Usually, in novels like these, it would be ideal for you to know how Master and I came to know each other, but this is not the case here, as that would ruin any lore possibilities. Anyway, I better stop getting outside the script; otherwise, Misami might delete me. "Akira! Hurry it up, man. I'm starving, you know?" There she was again. Wait, she said she was hungry? We ate not too long ago. For all I'm worth, Master Akane eats like those Saiyans from that manga my previous Master gave me.
Once I finished my task, it was time to return to the city alongside Akane. Again, I was humbled by her incredible strength while carrying a decent amount of weight {Around fifty pounds or thirty kilos of the rest of the world}. Akane was effortlessly moving over two thousand pounds or nine hundred kilos. Akane was a person I would never want to have as an enemy. Even with my most potent weapon available, she's so fast and intense it wouldn't be enough to defeat her.
I have yet to introduce you to my weapon of choice; how rude of me. Please, everyone reading this, behold this era's most advanced technology! The Maxie Ray Gun! It's got the newest, freshest components built in by yours truly. This is prototype number twenty, and it's the best so far. Uh? You thought guns weren't possible in a medieval setting? Well, sorry to break it to you, but that ain't nothing but a myth. They are costly, though, so most people cannot afford one, and they take such a high intelligence level to be built that only some can create them. I believe only nobles have access to them, to be fair. I'm an exception since my previous Sensei taught me all about them, giving me a super cool gadget only rich kids can brag about.
Ah, the classic time jump. We are now back at the adventurers guild in no time, all thanks to the power of editing! Hey, what you... {We are having technical difficulties. Please wait while your show comes back.} Misami is not happy with me. Fine, I will start taking like an NPC now, my all-powerful Overlord. Akane and I went to the front desk of the guild and dropped our loot on their floor while waiting for the rewards. This was what happened. I have no interesting thoughts about it. I'm only a secondary character with no role in the story. {We are having...} Cut it out already! Just let me be, okay? {Akira then knocks Misami unconscious with a telepathic attack}
Now that we got her out of the way by force let us continue, you and me. As I was about to explain, we were now at the guild waiting for our vast reward for the meat and skins collected. To my Sensei's despair, the lady at the counter said, "Sorry, but someone else already completed this quest. We can only pay you for the value of regular meat and leather but cannot pay you the full bounty." Akane looked like she would lose her cool for once, but then she calmed down and politely asked. "Who did it?" A weird aura surrounded her; even I was getting scared when she asked. In distress, the lady answered nervously, "The hero did it, Mam, please don't hit me!"
Sensei then looked even angrier, like she wanted to punch someone badly. Unexpectedly, the king of Rome showed up as soon as we got the news. "I'm back with another easy quest! Praise me! ahaha!" It was the hero. This was about to get good, so I quickly prepared my popcorn and put on my sunglasses. As expected, Master Akane took no time to confront the man. "Hey, you jerk! Don't you know that completing someone else's mission is bad etiquette? The hero looked confused, but he recognized what she was talking about and answered rather cheeky. "Well, maybe if you didn't take centuries to keep everyone safe from those monsters, I would not have taken your quest." Oh, he did not.
Unsurprisingly, Akane got close to him and slapped him. His companions quickly pulled their swords in response. I, however, simply stood there and watched. The hero then bitch slapped Akane, making her move her head ninety degrees to the left.
Mr. Hero panicked when Akane didn't fall back even a single inch or tremble. Akane looked vivid, clearly holding back for everyone's sake now. Then she said, "I challenge you to a duel right now! Outside the city, your minions can help you out, too. You will need them." The man now looked even more scared, but since he had a pride and reputation to hold, he accepted Akane's challenge to not look weak. She then addressed me. "Use your spatial magic to get us far from the city walls, Akira" Yes, MAM! I didn't hesitate this time. She looked so furious that I feared not doing so would get me punched in the face instead of the sacrificial lamb.
When we got to the secluded place Akane had requested. Leon presented himself and his companions. Kana and Lana, ugh, lame! Buuuh! Those are horrible names. The girls then started to chant all sorts of boosting spells onto the hero, "Fly. Bless of Magic Caster. Infinity wall. Magic Ward, Holy. Life essence. Greater Full Potential. Freedom. False data, life. See through. Hero intuition. Greater Resistance. Mantle of Chaos. Indomitability. Sensor boost. Greater Luck. Magic Boost. Dragonic Power. Greater Hardening. Heavenly Aura. Absorption. Penetrator. Greater Magic Shield. Stamina essence. Double Maximaxe Magic, Follow up arrows." What the actual heck was all that?
He was shining with colors and weird noises from all that enchanting. With all due respect, I didn't think Akane would stand a chance after I saw all that, but then she looked at me as if she had read my mind. Her gaze made me shiver. She then got into her serious fighting stance and screamed. "Triple Maximize Magic: All Berserker Boost!" The ground began to shake as soon as she finished, and rocks flew away as her aura got highly oppressive.
Akane was letting out so much power it made everyone tremble, including myself. Leon returned his senses and made the first move, launching forward at full strength at the transforming Akane. His punches didn't mean much, but he kept trying to break through her shielding. Leon was not holding back; Akane was just too strong. Leon fell back and became defensive when she finally finished her transformation. She simply looked at him, letting out a slight grin. Then, she said, "Do you want me to knock you out quickly or painfully?" Leon was done with her, so he tried to punch her again. Akane stopped both of his punches. She then pulled him closer to her for a bear hug.
Leon screamed in pain as his companions tried desperately to break Akane's stronghold on their lad. "So a painful knock-out it is then," Akane said while applying more pressure on her victim. "Fuck you! You whore!" She didn't like that as the pressure increased, making Leon's body crack. "Watch your language! This is a family-friendly show!" Hey, what the heck? That was old Master Maxie's line. A while after, Akane dropped Leon and let Kana and Lana start the healing. They were both angry at Akane, but she didn't mind them; instead, she looked at me. Oh shit, what did I do now?
"Take us back to the Guild, and let's go eat something, okay?" Phew, I was glad that was what she was thinking. Then again, I wasted no time to TP us back at the guild with a knocked-out hero.
