"My fiancée is still out there" Chun Li basically screamed her lungs out. Still, none of her extended family members had forgotten what she and her fiancée did to them.
Reluctantly, the only man in the house stood up and went towards the door. He felt a tug on his shirt and turned back to smile at his daughter as a sort of re-assurement.
"I'll just peep through the windows to see if he is still out there, it will all be alright." He said while smiling.
"Don't treat me like a child. Why should we help this ungrateful couple?" Chun Mei said. If Bian was here, he would have recognized her as the nurse who took care of him in the central military alliance academy while his arm was broken.
"You've already taken away everything we had, isn't that enough." Chun Li spoke in between breaths, as she was crying. The Xue family dealt with money express and even her in a serious way, making her lose their financial stability.
Knock Knock.
A knock came from the door, the breadwinner of the family signaled for everyone to gather together and hide while he went to the door.
'At least her fiancée made it to the house alive.' He opened the door and much to his surprise, he gazed at well-defined abdominal muscles.
'Why do I see abs?' He couldn't help but wonder why him, a full grown adult would be looking at a abs. He craned his neck upwards to meet the gaze of a bloodthirsty shura, with a fearsome mask and a white horn protruding from his forehead.
The shura, who had already used shura change to increase his physical prowess had disposed of the humans he met along the way. The last ant pointed him towards this house in hopes of living. Those hopes were cut short by his blade, and soon everyone in this house would feel that same blade.
His right hand swept horizontally with so much force, the world began spinning before his strength. Wait, that wasn't right. Why was the world spinning?
This was the last thought the shura had before his head dropped on the floor, and his consciousness faded. The King Chimera basically performed a drive by, using its wings to decapitate the shura. It took off to the skies as it searched for the last of it's prey.
"A mere beast!" The gold-horned shura fumed. He couldn't fathom how a mere beast had managed to slaughter his team of shura elites in mere seconds, it was fast and brutally efficient.
"Courting death!" The surpasser raged, when he noticed the shura had looked away from him during the battle. His blade, coated in golden light, aimed true at the heart of the shura.
"Do you think you can kill me!" The shura instantly underwent a dramatic change, his already imposing frame became bigger as his muscles swelled to an unbelievable extent. The face of the surpasser darkened, as he unleased the full extent of the golden light, temporarily blinding the shura.
The edge of the black katana moved too swiftly to be avoided. It sliced through his sword and went vertically through his arm, causing him a lot of pain. The shura gave him no chance of respite, after he felt his blade cut through flesh. He performed a 360 round house kick, smacking the surpasser towards a crystal pillar.
The pillars were even more steady than the ground, the surpasser lost consciousness as the back of his head smacked the crystal pillar. The gold-horned shura paid him no mind, he was supposed to destroy the teleporters then broadcast their location, but there was no time.
He brought out a device which looked like a metal brick with a tube inserted in it. After tinkering with it, the empty tube was filled with green liquid which slowly rose to the top.
Bang!
He tilted his head sideways, a squirt of black liquid destroyed the device, narrowly missing his eye. It flew into the ceiling of the cavern and dissolved it with a sizzling sound.
The shura was enraged, the hover boots quivered slightly as smoke fumed from it. He removed the boots and plummeted to the ground. The king chimera was there looking down on him like he was a bug to be squashed.
"Looking down on me? Don't compare me to those white-horns" The Shura raged as he dashed towards the chimera. The horns on a shura symbolized their status, black horns were the civilians, white horns were the elite, gold horns were of nobility and purple horns belonged to the royal family.
The chimera ducked, narrowly avoiding the blade of the shura. It used the momentum to thrust it head upwards, ramming the shura with its horns. The shura who had missed, held one horn of the chimera with one hand, bringing down his blade with the other.
The chimera covered its body with one wing, causing the shura to miss its head. The edge of the black katana, pinned its wing to the ground. The shura hurriedly ducked his head, avoiding the bite from the snake the chimera had as a tail.
He let go of the horn and held the snake tail. With a powerful blow, he punched the beast sending it hurling and causing his katana to cut through its wings completely. Shura were experts when it came to using their bodies, he couldn't see himself loosing against a beast.
'Not good' Bian observed from a distance, needless to say he only needed one-third of his strength to dispose of the blood-horned person. His strength wasn't enough to make him break a sweat, but this shura would feel the same way about him also. It increased the sense of urgency Bian felt, urging him to evolve even sooner.
Bian received a signal from the king chimera. It needed a couple of seconds and it would be able to deal with the shura. 'That's great, but I doubt I would even last one second against this monstrosity.'
Bian ran as fast as he could towards the crystal pillar, where the surpasser from before had fallen. He felt the ground tremor before the battle happening behind him. He found the surpasser lying weakly on the ground losing a lot of blood.
His right arm was severed in the wrong direction, leaving him with three fingers while exposing the bones up the arm all the way to the shoulder. Bian grimaced slightly, while observing the injury.
He tried waking him up, but he was out cold. Bian used mental point targeting to think back to when he was with the silver fox. Then using dongxuan sutra, he stimulated the energy flow causing lightning to swirl around his body.
"Wake up" Bian released an avalanche of lightning upon the surpasser. Thanks to longevity and some other geno arts, his pool of energy never seemed to run dry. The healing power of the silver fox he was using was very crude, it was not even the evolved version. Such a power could only heal a scratch on a surpasser.
Thankfully, while it lacked quality, Bian made up for it with quantity. Lightning surged from his body and drilled into the surpasser, causing his body to twitch. Lightning flew up and about, becoming visible from far away.
The shura and a bloodied chimera paused for a moment as they observed the pillars of lightning rising to the top of the underground cavern. The shura was the first to recover from his stupor, he appeared in front of the chimera like a ghost bringing down a devastating strike.
The beast already had one of it's wings missing and with this strike, its foreleg was completely severed. The shura dodged the snake, and kicked at it's other leg, causing the beast to loose balance and collapse.
With a snort, the shura raised up his blade with one arm, the other holding the head of the snake. A bright golden light fell from above, sending the shura flying into the ground.
The surpasser descended beside the king chimera. His injuries were mainly healed all except the arm, which needed more to be fixed. He gave it his all, his body surrounded by golden light as he turned into a human torch.
From the time the shura attacked to when he used this move, five minutes had passed. This was the threat of dealing with surpassers, in seconds they could wreak mass havoc if left unchecked.
The gold-horned shura walked out from the debris. He had left himself open when he was about to finish the chimera. If the power of the surpasser had been stronger, he would have been killed by that attack, luckily the weak move only damaged his armor and scorched his skin a little bit.
Recalling how he was the last of his team alive the shura took in a deep breath. 'This wasn't part of the plan, that woman had never, ever been wrong before. Did something unexpected happen or have I been set up.'
"Are you just realizing you're the only one left. In five minutes, reinforcements would be here and you will die a dog's death." The surpasser laughed, but even he was nervous.
He had heard of the downfall of other cities and even planets. They all occurred just like this, attacks happened just when reinforcements would be far away or when the base would not be completely prepared for an assault.
Such chances never happened twice or were rare, and yet the shura always managed to attack at exactly that moment. Even a snitch wouldn't know exactly when to position the shura to take exploit of those weakness.
The only feasible explanation was that the shura had an oracle of some kind, or maybe some super computer that could calculate the actions and thoughts of every human being.
'No that's ridiculous. Just you wait you damned shura, I'll bathe in the blood of your family, like you did mine.'
As he thought about this the golden light around him surged to an unprecedented level. He flew forward like a shooting star towards the shura, avoiding the blade and taking him airborne. Why not use his advantage when he was one of the few surpassers who could fight perfectly well in the skies.
He barraged the shura from all sides moving like a blur and blasting him from all directions leaving him airborne. Without his hover boots the shura had no way of combating him in the skies.
Suddenly, a black blur flew towards him at extreme speeds piercing his shoulder blade and pinning him to one of the crystal pillars nearby. The shura who had just thrown his blade was about landing when he took note of the king chimera.
Every part of its golden body had turned black, darker than the night sky, even it's green snake tail. The horns on the head of the lion was missing, instead a hump formed on it's back. Looking a bit closer, this hump was actually a black goat head, its eyes glowed a disturbing green color.
The eyes of the lion had this same disturbing green color and the eyes of the snake.. The pupil of the shura shrank, the snake head was nowhere to be seen. Instead the snake tail extended from the back of the abomination like an infinite rope.
Feeling a piercing pain in his shoulders, the gold-horned shura turned to see a snake, darker than the night, biting into his shoulder blade, while it's green eyes looked into the depths of his soul. The shura chopped at the head of the snake, but it was already gone.
Bian who was observing all this had cold sweat running down his forehead. Right now the King Chimera had the strength of a super creature but he couldn't feel his connection with it. He traced the snake tail, but couldn't find the head, overcome with dread he hurriedly dismissed the chimera.
The gaping maw of the snake head which was only a few inches from his neck disappeared in an instant. Bian could feel cold seat running down his shirt.
The Shura landed pathetically almost loosing his balance. He had not even stabilized himself when a golden beam of light blasted him into the ground. The surpasser landed on the ground with a thud, the golden light around him dimmed. He pulled the black katana out of his shoulder, walking closer to the shura.
Seeing the shura struggling to stand he blasted one more beam of light, but it faded before it reached the alien. He dismissed the golden lights and charged forwards, raising the katana above his head.
Blergh!
The surpasser stopped a few meters away from the shura, black blood was sipping out of his eyes, and ears and mask. He took off the mask and vomited one more round of black blood before he collapsed on the ground.
The surpasser cautiously approached the shura, but his caution was in vain. The alien was dead, black blood flowing from all its orifices. He fell on his arse, dead tired. Looking towards Bian, he gave him a nod, then he passed out. The lightning from Bian had cauterized his wound preventing him from bleeding out so he was safe for now.
Thankfully, the material of the planet was very sturdy. The damage caused was minimal and the crystal supports were even more stalwart. It had not even been half an hour since he woke up yet all of this "Well... damn!"
